Initially it was thought that the first recorded sighting of a Murmurationis was during the Dark Ages. However, further research uncovered that the creature was actually alive during the Palaeolithic era, due to crudely drawn depictions found years later in an area known today as Scotland, by archeologists in the year 1910.
A Murmurationis is one of the lesser known beasts in the wizarding world, as there is so little information on it, as very few of it's victims survive this beasts attack. The few notible observations made about the creature are that: it has a tendecy to skulk in the shadows, opting to live in forest-esque areas and prefers tormenting it's prey before devouring it.
