The moment I've reached the kitchen counter the front door opened and Jason walked in with his hands full of my clothes. I gave him a death glare, then fixed myself a fresh cup of coffee and strolled to the sofa.
“Angie!” Swiftly Jason vanished in the bedroom and returned. “Don’t be like that.”
“Excuse us,” I jumped up, carefully situated the cup on the table and pulled him back into the bedroom. “Could you not decide for me,” I hissed. “I gave you no permission to change the course of my life. One thing is to make up and try to work this out,” I made a circle in the air with my finger. “And another is to completely take my will away from me.”
“Angie,” he looked guilty. “I want to take care of you. I want to give you the best. I know that you will never ask for anything. I love you, Angela. I’m crazy in love with you.”
“You should have asked. It’s too fast, Jason.”
“Okay, it’s a bit fast. I admit,” he embraced me. “I should have waited. I’m sorry. A week?” He caressed my hair. “We are moving to a new apartment, bigger, nicer…with a huge closet and a dining room.”
“Great, you can move. I’m staying in my old studio.”
“You can’t stay there. I’ve arranged everything. It’s not yours anymore.”
“Jason,” I began suffocating. “What have you done?” I freed myself from his arms and dropped on the floor by the bed burying my face into the comforter. No, no, no, no, no…
“It’s done already. You’re staying with me and that’s final.”
“Where are my clothes?” I demanded and fluently rose on my feet. “Where are my things?”
I yanked his sweats off me and marched into the closet to find anything of my possessions. My hand dived into the pile and I pulled something out. Perfect. It was my plain gray dress I used to wear for work. Without thinking I slipped it on and like an angry gust of wind breezed out from the closet. On the way into the living room I grabbed my handbag and darted to the exit.
“You are not going anywhere,” he caught me. “You’ll have to kill me before I let you step outside this door.”
“Fine!” I twisted away from his arms and pivoted to the kitchen. Tapping my foot I looked around. Not letting me go, huh? We’ll see about that. “If you...If you won’t let me out then...then, I'll brake everything here.” I opened the kitchen cabinet with a meaning to destroy everything what my hands will happen upon. “I’m serious!” I withdrew couple of plates from the shelf and lifted them in the air.
“Fine,” he casually leaned on the counter. His expression calm. “Let me make a couple of suggestions,” he opened the cupboard and took out a cup. “This one was a gift from Laura,” he lifted the cup and unclenched his fingers. The cup hit the floor and with a sharp bang broke into pieces. Huh? I winced but kept staring at him. “ What else,” he searched through the cabinet with his glance. “Ah, here,” he withdrew a plate and sent it to the floor. The plate crashed.
He is killing me! I let out a long roar and carefully placed the dishes back.
“Jason, you’re killing me!” I exclaimed and crossed the living room meaning to get into the bedroom. “Move out of my way, Andrew. Now, I’m angry,” I said.
Silently he moved to the side letting me pass. I slammed the door behind me and threw myself on the bed “Aaaaaa…aaaaa…aaaaaaaa!” I cried into the comforter. “I should have never stayed.”
