Turns out when only five people sleeping in a car isn't so difficult. Richard and Alex took the front seats, I took the back and Ragnar took the floor in front of me. Alex and Richard were both sleeping heavily as I lay awake. I looked down at Ragnar and found him playing with his wedding ring.

"What are you thinking about?" I whispered, making him look up at me. He just smiled, taking my hand from the edge of the seat and leaned his fingers through mine.

"I just...I was thinking about everything. I was thinking that maybe we can't be too mad at them. I mean if Ross never made this, if he had not done any of this, would we be together? Would I even know you? Would you be with your husband? Your daughter? Would you have Jax? I just can't help but ask those questions. You know?" He wouldn't meet my eyes but I still smiled.

"I know." He finally looked at me, confused. "Ragnar, I've asked myself those very questions hundreds of times, but I stopped dwelling on it when I realized that Ross did do this, this did happen, and I am with you. And that makes this world a little more bearable." He just smiled, raising my fingers to his lips.

"Alright, I'm about to barf. Please go to sleep." Richard yelled from the front seat. Ragnar laughed, looking up at me. He pushed himself up on his elbow and kissed me once before laying back down and going to sleep.

The next morning, we got moving as soon as we were awake. It didn't take as long as last time because no one was sleeping in tents or sleeping bags outside. We were about to wake up and go. It was easy. Ragnar was still sleeping when Richard started the car. He didn't wake up until later that morning.

"How long have we been driving?" He asked when he finally opened his eyes. I smiled and leaned down, kissing him before I answered.

"About two hours. We're about to stop for gas. Alex is going to get food; do you want anything specific. He just shook his head as Richard pulled over into the gas station and Alex went in for food and to pay. Once we finished, we were off. Everything was going according to schedule until we were stopped. There were the Delfunies that just did their jobs, they just checked papers and sent us on our way but there were those few that just loved causing problems.

"Sir, please step out of the car." The woman asked as she looked at Richard's paperwork. Depending on how many people were in the car, a checkpoint could take anywhere from about a minute to a half an hour. Ours' usually takes about fifteen minutes.

Richard was quick to comply because he really didn't want to cause to much trouble. Trouble usually makes its way back to Ross and we really didn't want that. She quickly went through his papers while we waited in the car. Nothing seemed to be happening until she called someone over to her and that Delfunie looked over the papers and soon, they were leading Richard away.

"What's going on?" I asked, looking to Ragnar. He just shrugged and looked behind the car. I looked to Alex but he just did the same. I just wanted to get things going but the longer we sat in the car, the more I realized that we might not be leaving. I just wanted to find my son.

Suddenly, the driver's door whipped open and Richard jumped in. He quickly started the car and sped off. I held on to the side of my chair as Ragnar held on to me, watching Richard. Once we were far enough away from the check point, Richard finally slowed and Ragnar sat forward.

"What the hell was that Richard" He asked, clearly angered by the situation. Richard didn't look back at us and I was wondering his he was going to answer at all.

"Richard?"

"I was being flagged. I think at the last check point that damned Delfunie flagged at least my name. We need to be careful. I had to kill those two back there, luckily they were the only ones there. They should be human again soon." We have to be more careful? How many more check points do we have now? I mean we are nowhere close to South Carolina. Richard told us that was where he remembered Ross saying that was where he was planning on taking Jax so that is where were going.
