I felt like every ache and pain that I gained from our journey just left my body. Just looking at my son replaced all those feelings with joy. I tried to get off the table but Richard stopped me before I could succeed. He smiled at me but he just made me stay in my place until Ragnar reached me, and smiling, giggling Jax in his arms just trying to get to me. He was kicking and waving his arms around trying so hard to pull away from Ragnar to get to me. He was mine again, we have him back.
"Hi baby." I said with tear filled eyes. He giggled even louder as Ragnar finally handed him to me. I pulled him into my arms and he yelled out in happiness. I couldn't believe it. We have our son back.
"Well he still remembers us. He was so happy when I picked him up." I just placed Jax on my good hip and pulled Ragnar to me and I kissed him.

We stayed for a few days while I slowly got but soon we realized that we needed to get back to the kids. They were probably wondering if we were even alive at this point.
I have been in this room for three days and now I was sitting here just smiling down at my son. Jax was mine and I had him back. This was amazing. The first night, I woke up, terrified looking for him. I looked in his bed to find he wasn't there. I was beginning to think I had dreamt saving him.
It turned out that Jax had gotten fussy and Ragnar didn't want me to wake up so he took him to another room.
Now, I just can't stop looking at him.
"Hey, you ready?" I looked up to see Alex standing in the doorway, holding some bags. "We're about to head out." I just nodded before stepping off the bed and picking up a sleeping Jax and started waking toward the door.
"Hey, you." I looked up to see Ragnar standing in front of me. I smiled up and kissed him softly.
"Hey, lets go home."
"Yes. Finally."

It took a little while but we finally made it into Ohio and it was late when we reached Cincinnati. We didn't want to stop now that we were so close. The sky had turned a dark shade of midnight and I watched as the clouds rolled in with flashes of light sparking every so often followed by cracks of the thunder that varied in severity. Ragnar had fallen asleep a little while ago and I didn't dare wake him wake him. I for once was actually the once driving. Now that Lucian and Ross were dead, Ragnar and I didn't have hide. We were free, finally free.
I found the house in the dark, thankfully without having to wake up the guys. It was easy enough but by the time I got to the neighborhood, the rain had started and reading street signs was a little difficult. I looked in the rear view mirror and saw the car seat that currently held my sleeping son. I couldn't believe we actually got him back, it's a little surreal. I couldn't help but smile at the fact that I finally had my family back together and completed. All my boys are home now and hopefully I can start to form a relationship with Emilee, especially now with her mother coming back into her life. Things were looking up, finally.
I jumped as a huge flash of light blanketed the sky and a huge boom cracked, shaking the SUV. The guys jumped out of their seats and Jax started crying. I made my way over to the side of the road, getting ready to comfort him but Ragnar quickly stopped me, sleep still covered his features like a mask on his face.
"Keep driving babe. I got this." He didn't even let me respond, he was already talking to Jax, making sure he was okay. I smiled at the sight, he was such a good dad.

When I finally got to the house, it was almost two in the morning and the house was completely dark. Mom, dad, and the kids are all in bed. We decided because it was still pouring, we left everything in the SUV and went inside, completely soaked. Just as we got the door opened to go inside, thunder boomed overhead and Jax again started crying.
"Crap, he's going to wake the whole house." I said, whispered, there was no calming him down at this point, he was in hysterics. He couldn't even hear us, he was so loud.
"Here, you go inside and relax. I'll try to calm him down." Ragnar offered. I tried to protest due to the rain but he was insistent. Finally I realized there was no point in arguing with him so I went inside. Alex and Richard were already upstairs, sleeping but now I was a live wire. I couldn't sleep even if I tried.
"Mavis?" I nearly jumped out of my skin as I turned to face the faceless voice coming from the living room. The light turned on to reveal Rosemary, my younger sister, laying on the couch. I haven't seen her since I moved back home. She threw a tantrum and went to go live with a boyfriend or something. I haven't seen her in six months.
"What are you doing here?" She asked me in a cold voice, clearly she still hated me.
"I live here, Rosemary. What are you doing here?" I answered just as emotionless. She just scoffed and pulled the blankets back over her face before falling back to sleep. I just rolled my eyes and turned around to see Ragnar coming in with a now sleeping Jax. I smiled at the sight and turned off the light before heading off to our room with our son.
