It was like a ghost town here with majority of the students heading back for term break. The usually bustling dorm building was silent save for the few students who were still around. Knot was one of them since he was only going to head back next week.

Knot stopped by the convenience store after his evening run, basking in the cool air of the conditioning as he headed towards the beverages section. Man, the weather was a downright killer lately. Pure, sweltering heat.

He dropped a few cans of energy drinks into his basket, and found Tew perusing the aisle as well, basket hanging from one arm. They exchanged polite smiles. Though they were senior-junior, Knot could probably count the number of times they've interacted.

Tew was quieter than the rest, only speaking up when necessary.

"Not going home for the break?" Knot broke the silence.

Tew responded with a shake of his head, "In a couple of days, P'."

They lapsed into awkward silence soon after, moving towards the counter. Knot gestured for the junior to go first, shifting to stand in line behind him.

"You like this watermelon drink too?" Knot asked as they made their way back towards the general direction of the dorm buildings. "Toota has a fridge full of them. It's like he's operating his own convenience store. It's crammed with nonsense."

Tew dissolved into laughter, switching the heavy plastic bag he was carrying to the other hand.

"I'll help you with that."

"It's okay, P'. It's not that..." Tew trailed off when Knot reached for it, easily carrying it as if it weighed nothing at all. "Thanks, P'. Which building do you live in?"

This was probably the longest they've spoke to each other ever since the hazing days two years ago. Knot appreciated how pleasant-mannered Tew was and the awkwardness slowly dissipated as they started discussing their exercise regime.

"Ah, but P', you're already so big. Those muscles are no joke."

Knot was naturally of bigger built compared to his friends and with a little bit of lifting and the sorts, he was becoming slightly more muscly as the months passed by. He found out that Tew liked running as well, discussing the well-known running tracks around campus.

"We could go for a jog together sometimes, if you want." Knot found himself offering. "I usually run three times a week."

The junior seemed pleasantly surprised at the offer, but accepted nonetheless.

"Sure, P'. Tomorrow evening then?"

"P', are you nervous?"

"No."

"You're jiggling your leg, P'."

The closer they approached home, the antsier he got. Kongpob was definitely the image of relaxed; clad in comfortable clothes with his sunglasses perched on top of his head, taking in the sights and sounds of Arthit's hometown as the cab whizzed by.

"Why aren't you nervous?" Arthit demanded, heart hammering against his chest when the taxi took a right turn that'll lead them in the direction of his house.
