''Ai'Toota, help me snap a photo! I need my mae to see what a handsome son she gave birth to.''
''She gave birth to you?'' Toota feigned a gasp, placing a hand over his mouth. ''I thought you were adopted! Or maybe accidentally switched at birth.''
''Ha ha, fuck you.''
They were there for the fitting and collection of their graduation robes. Arthit donned his on to check if there was a need for him to try on another size or not. It fitted him nicely and he shrugged it off, handing it back to the lady manning the registration counter, taking his wallet out to pay the deposit for the robe.
Behind him, Toota and Bright were pretending to be characters from the Harry Potter movie, whizzing around the room with their pretend broomsticks (it was actually brooms from the supply closet outside), and yelling unintelligible spells at each other. The rest of the graduates collecting their robes were unfazed by the commotion. Being an engineering student had somehow made them immune to such things. It was a common occurrence whenever Toota and Bright were around.
''AVADA KEDA-BRAAAAA''
''IT'S AVADA KEDAVRA, YOU IDIOT.''
Knot and Prem stood laughing at the side and Arthit joined them, all three of them entertained by Toota's and Bright's silliness.
''Five years and it's like nothing has changed at all.'' Knot remarked with a wistful smile.
Prem wouldn't say that he was a sentimental person. Growing up, he didn't have too many fond memories where school was involved. Nor did he have much friends. People often commented that his personality was 'prickly' and that Prem was a difficult person to get along with. Until he entered university, that is. Knot and the rest had stuck through him through some of the shit that he had caused, and even when he had gotten into deep shit trouble, they hadn't deserted him either.
''I'm going to miss this.'' Prem admitted, much to the surprise of both Knot and Arthit.
Bright gave up chasing after Toota with a broom between his legs and instead used it as a pretend wand, brandishing it at his best friend, ''You filthy squid!''
''It's not 'squid', you dumbass muggle! It's 'squib'!''

''To friendship and new beginnings.''
The five of them raised their bottles up and lightly clinked it together, ''Friendship and new beginnings.''
''To a better future too!''
''And a happy married life for our lovely Arthit and Kongpob. How are you feeling, Ai'Arthit? Nervous about meeting your future in-laws?''
Arthit managed not to spit his beer out, chucking a handful of crisps at Bright who managed to catch one with his mouth.
''Yum. Sour cream.''
Deciding that it wouldn't be worth it to earn himself a black eye (or other injured body parts), Bright decided not to say anything else (for now). After that whole being chased around with an ice pick incident in Kanchanaburi, Bright very much valued his life, thank you very much.
This was going to be their last get together as a group before they all got busy with their own things. Bright was going on holiday with his parents, Prem had signed up for a photography course along with Wad and since they were all returning back to their own hometowns, it was going to be quite some time until they had a chance to hang out together again.
''Guys, look! I can balance a potato chip on my nose!''
Toota shot his best friend a pitying look, ''I would be so disappointed if I was your mother. Nine months of carrying you in her womb, hours of trying to push your fat ass body out of her vagina and all you can do is balance a potato chip on your nose.''
