"P'Arthit, have you seen my grey socks?"
"Bottom drawer next to the bed."
Kongpob hurries into the bedroom and Arthit can hear him rummaging around for said socks. He enters the kitchen and sets out two glasses before pouring milk into them, setting one aside for his boyfriend.
A second later, Kongpob pokes his head out of the door, accompanied by sheepish laughter.
"I think my black tie is missing. I could have sworn I saw it yesterday."
Arthit sips at his milk and continues scrolling through the notifications on his phone, "It's with the rest of the laundry at the balcony."
"Thanks, p'!" Kongpob rushes out again and a second later there's a shout of, "Found it!"
A few minutes later:
"P', have you seen my-"
"-motorcycle keys?" Arthit completes the question, said key dangling between his fingers.
It's as if they've switched roles ever since they started living together; Kongpob becoming more absent-minded and Arthit the one keeping track of what goes where (and doing an amazing job of it). He's surprised since he used to be the unorganized one. Guess the tables have turned afterall.
"What would I do without you, P'Arthit?" He catches the key that his boyfriend tosses to him and drinks down the milk in three quick gulps. He places the cup in the sink and crosses over to Arthit, "I might be home slightly late today. Don't wait up for me if you're tired, okay?" Kongpob helps to adjust the older male's tie, gaze soft with affection. "Want me to drop you off at work today?"
Arthit shakes his head, "Nah. You have a meeting at 9 right? You should get going."
"See you tonight, p'." Kongpob grabs his satchel from the dining chair and hurries out of the kitchen.
Arthit lightly clucks his tongue, making a soft "tch" sound at the fact that his boyfriend had forgotten something. A second later, Kongpob reenters the kitchen and cheekily kisses the corner of Arthit's lips, "Did you really think I'd forget to kiss you goodbye, P'Arthit?"
Kongpob cups the male's cheeks in his palms and kisses Arthit soundly on the lips (because nope, he'll never be able to resist said lips), "Have a good day at work. Love you." For good measure, he makes sure to kiss his boyfriend on the cheeks as well.
It's been years and Arthit still gets that warm feeling whenever Kongpob uses that affectionate tone with him. Years. They're way past their honeymoon stage in their relationship, and he still gets weak in the knees whenever Kongpob kisses him. Arthit stands there dumbly for a few minutes even after Kongpob has left, willing his heart to slow down a little. I don't think I'll ever get used to it.
Arthit doesn't think it'll ever be possible for him to get used to it when it's Kongpob.
He hears the telltale revving sound of Kongpob's motorcycle and walks over to the kitchen window which oversees the open carpark.
"Drive safely!" He calls out, knowing that Kongpob has a penchant of being slightly reckless whenever he's in a hurry.
Kongpob waves at him from below and pulls on his helmet and Arthit waits until his boyfriend has left the carpark before he finally gets ready to leave for the office.
Well, look who's becoming disgustingly sappy (and secretly enjoying it).
x.x.x
Arthit's surprised to find the door not locked when he returns home that evening. Huh, Kongpob must be home earlier than expected.
