Cara POV

I woke up in my comfy bed, seeing it was in the afternoon.

How long was I out?

Mother came in and smiled." You're finally awake!" She sighed placing a bottle of water next to my bed.

"How long was I out?" I asked, opening the lid and gulping the water down.

"About five days." She answered making herself comfortable on the side of my bed.

"Did he ever come back?" I asked. My mother knew who I was referring to but shook her head. I was happy he respected my wishes, but Magna whimpered for her mate.

"Even if we don't like that son of a wolf, he is still your mate Cara." She started with an arch eyebrow. I hated when my Mother's words made sense, but not giving her the satisfaction of knowing I knew she was right I answered back with a shrug of my shoulders.

Mother carefully helped me get out of bed and supported me until I could stand on my own two feet.

"Where's Michelle?" Her head popped around my doorframe.

"Well about time! I thought I'll be spending my senior year alone among those weirdos!" She exaggerated like the Drama Queen she was.

"Oh, how I missed you!" I smiled and pulled her into a tight hug.

"Can't...Breathe..." She stammered and I let her go.

"Sorry, so when can I run?" I asked and at the same time, they both sighed.

"Let's see if you have the strength to shift." All of us slowly made our way into the woods to a clearing where I remembered shifting for the first time.

"Wait, where's Dad?" I asked, looking around for my Father. I expected him to be next to my bed as I woke up. We had that tight bond since I was a little pup.

"Work." Mother announced bluntly. By the tone in her voice, I knew she wasn't happy about something, but I didn't question her.

I stripped my pajamas standing naked between Mother and Michelle.

Without any warning, my bones started popping like second nature, making me fall on all fours. It wasn't sore like the first few times I shifted, but it was still uncomfortable none less. I felt the white fur sprouting out of my skin covering my body in an instant.

"You still look a bit better than when I was the White wolf." Mother teased me while smiling sadly. I knew she missed being able to shift and have her wolf.

When she gave birth to me the gene transferred to me, but the Doctors were certain she would have had her wolf. They were wrong...

She lost her wolf the day I was born. She told me so many times that even when Dad was her human mate, he took her to every pack Doctor that was willing to help. After a few years, Mother gave up on the whole idea and put a stop to Dad's trips.

"Let's go for a run!" Michelle squealed missing my wolf form more than I did. I have a really weird best friend, but I would never trade her for anything.

"Michelle, you are aware that Magna hasn't been out for a run in a while. She won't hold back on her speed like she always does." My mother explained before Michelle made her way onto my back.

"Oh, heck to the double chocolate no!" Michelle exclaimed before standing next to my mom again. I gave her a nuzzle to say 'Thanks for understanding '

She smiled as if she knew what I was saying and with a nod from her, I turned around and started to run.

Freedom!! Magna howled. I know it's a weird name, but it stands for Mighty in Latin, and I know it fits my wolf.

I'd never run this long or fast before, but my legs took me to the Lake. I huffed and puffed trying to catch my breath while Magna was getting more restless every minute.

The village. My body went rigid because the village meant the town. She had this theory that something bad was happening in town and because I'm the White wolf, my wolf instincts were on fire to see what is going on.

Now Cara! She demanded and I ran towards the town, feeling something was indeed going to happen...
