Cara POV
"Don't you, forget about me!" Her voice boomed through the empty classroom and I instantly knew it was my best friend. "Don't you go breaking my heart!" I sang back and thank goodness we were alone because there is one thing that stabbed us in the back.
Our singing skills...
If any bad guy wanted to be sung to death, they could ask us. As to why we were alone in a classroom - we had to study for a test that was due tomorrow. Only one problem, if you ended up with a crazy best friend who is the Queen of Procrastination Kingdom, then studying with her would be one hell of a problem.
"Let's twerk it like Miley!" She tried to twerk, but it ended up looking as if there was a bee on her bottom. I burst out laughing, then she joined and we laughed so hard that our stomachs started to hurt.
"Dude! Let's go get something to eat!" I told her and so with food in both our minds, we grabbed our backpacks and were off to the nearest McDonald's.
We got our order and sat on the playground - yeah we are rebels. "So, you thought about that Alpha?" Michelle asked before popping a fry in her mouth.
"No," I answered back. I haven't seen or talked to him since he dropped me off at my house.
"Why not?"
"Really dude, why must I?" I looked at her and she just shrugged. "Oh look hotties six o'clock!" Michelle whispered.
"No Chella! French fries before hot guys!" She just gave me a look and I smiled back with a few fries in my mouth.
"Hey, girls! May we sit with you?" The brunette sporting cute nerdy glasses asked. "Yeah, sure!" Michelle quickly answered before I could, and so they sat with us on the playground.
We learned their names as we were munching on some food. Michelle was sitting between Gordon(the nerd) and Josh(a blonde). Lucky me( note sarcasm ) was between Eric (he was a dirty blonde) and Fredric.
"So you girls go to our school, right?" Josh asked. "Yeah. We're a year behind you guys." Michelle replied and Gordon smiled.
"So what's your name pretty face?" Eric smiled at me which gave me straight-up chills down my spine. "Don't call me that," I replied and he smirked at me.
"Why not? You have a pretty face." He scooted closer. "Please. Keep your distance!" I said and pushed him back, but he didn't budge.
Something isn't right. My werewolf strength needed to work on him, unless...
I quickly glanced at Michelle who was talking to Gordon.
Their rogues. Watch out. Magna confirmed my suspicion.
"So what is your name?" Eric asked again. "Cara." I replied after snapping out of my conversation with Magna.
"Pretty name." He replied and scooted closer. "No. I told you. Keep your distance!" I growled.
"Now why would I? You got a boyfriend?" He asked with an arched eyebrow.
"Yeah, actually I do." I smiled. "And he won't be happy if you don't keep your distance!" I replied and then I could smell him.
MATE! Magna was screaming.
I saw him coming through the door before his black eyes darted to mine.
"Babe!" I screamed and walked over to him. He embraced me, placing his head in the crook of my neck, trying to calm himself down.
"They must leave before they are buried... Six feet under the ground." He told me softly and Magna purred like a bloody cat as she felt the protectiveness radiating off the Alpha.
I turned around and saw they were tensed, they knew exactly who this was. My mate pushed me back into his chest before resting his warning gaze on them. The growl rumbled in his chest.
"Would you kindly leave?" I asked, but Gordon shook his head.
"No!" He replied and Michelle tried to escape, but she was held against Josh's chest.
"Leave my friend alone!" I told them, but they didn't budge.
"Walk away rogues and you'll live!" His voice was deep and livid from behind me.
"You'll see us again Alpha!" Eric threatened and so they left leaving a stunned Michelle behind.
