Chapter 23: the call

~•~•~Two weeks later~•~•~•~

Fabian has to leave in one week. Nina wasn't ready to let him go. Even though it was her own idea that he'd leave she knows that I was the right thing to do.

Today was the day they were planning to ask amber to help them. Nina has been very nervous all day.

"What if she says no, or she just disses us off. Or what if-"

Fabian would cut her off with a kiss.

"You know she's going to say yes right?" He Said gently.

"But-"

"No buts!" He exclaimed.

This took Nina by surprise. His tone appeared harsh and annoyed. Her eyes looked at him with a scarred expression. Noticing her reaction he cupped his hands around her face.

"Nina I'm sorry" he said. "I'm just tired and I need to take a break"

Nina nodded and kissed his cheek.

"Go ahead, I'll call amber on my own" Nina said smiling.

Fabian returned the smile and went into their bedroom and closed the door.

She smiled at the closed door and went downstairs and called amber from her phone.

"Amber millington, you have 5 minutes" she said as if she was a secretary.

"Amber, it's Nina" she said.

"Nina!!! OMG how are you!?" She asked excitedly.

"Fine, I guess" Nina replied.

"I guess? Is that a real answer. C'mon Nins!"

"I'm getting to it!" Nina exclaimed laughing because she was hearing fabians soft snoring.

"What's so amusing?!" Amber asked eager to know.

"Well I can trust you with a secret right?" Nina started off.

"Nina Martin where have you been these last two years!"

"Living in invisible hell that's where" Nina said.

"Oh Nina your funny sometimes."

"Listen I have to tell you something. You can't tell anyone else!"

"I sibuna swear!" Amber exclaimed.

"Uh, okay. In that case. Amber..I'm pregnant."

"SHUT UP NO WAY!!!!" She exclaimed excitedly.

"Uh yes way" Nina replied.

"Who's the baby daddy?! I need the deitz !" She exclaimed.

"Really amber?"

"Yes really. I need details!"

"It's Fabian"

"So he did visit you over the summer! That little liar!"

"Whoa amber I need him to live until around march 21st"

"Is that when it's due?"

"Yes"

"So, is that all"

"I have a favor. A really big favor I have to ask you that is"

"And that is?"

"I was wondering if you could help me out this school year."

"Wait I'm already confused!"

Nina went through the whole story of their plan.

"So you want me to come to America and help you out?"

"Yes"

"OF CORSE! I can see it now ! AUNTIE AMBER!"

"Oh thank you so much you have no idea!"

"Anything for a BFF!"

"So your plan..."

"I go to school for about two weeks and then leave for "fashion school". I act like I have no idea what's happening."

"Good. Actually I have to add something"

"And that's?"

"I'm going to give Eddie my locket and a note to Fabian. To get some emotion out of him I think"

"Great plan. Well see you in 3 weeks"

"Bye amber thank you so much!"

"No problem bye!"

Nina hung up and fist pumped the air. She went back up the stairs and went to her bedroom. Fabian was fast asleep in her bed. She smiled and kissed his cheek. He didn't move but he breathed soundly. She moved his bangs out of his face and left the room.

A few hours later Fabian woke up and went downstairs.

"Hi babe!" Nina said looking up from her drawing work.

"Hi love, whatcha drawing."

"Nursery plans" she simply said.

Fabian came up behind her and watched her drawing.

"Your very good" he said.

"Thank you. I don't draw much"

"You should. Your brilliant"

Nina smiled up at him and he sat next to her.
