Gracefully your laugh flutters once more
Escaping your lips and staining my heart
A heart that has forgotten the taste of something so pure
But my mouth never forgot how to poison those sweet sounds
It Loves to catch the sound and taint the wonderful color it pours
It sprouts promises I can't take back
Giving birth to pride I refuse to stopIt is a sad battle you wage
Your smile throws darts my way
Straight from Cupid's bow
Powered by every sweet note you sing
Sad battle indeed because
It is a war that is lost
For your love is as dead to me
As war is dead to peace.
