Tami
Two weeks it's been. Two weeks and I haven't see John, Lenny or Harley. I've gone to the park everyday hoping they would be there. Why? I do not know.
I've been walking around town putting up flyers for a baby sitting job with the help of Sandra, the librarian. Since the whole Harley thing happened, I wanted to look after kids. I've always loved kids but it gave me the idea I could actually make money out of it.
"Tami?" woah! quickly whipping my head around I saw Lenny. Well I think it's him. I can't tell the difference.
"Hey...Lenny?" he smiled.
"Hey you got it right. One of the firsts" he's not as talkative as John. More to himself.
"Haha I try." He laughed.
"That's good to know" still smiling he continued. "Hey you looking for a job?"
"Ha yeah..." Why did he have to ask. Can't he see I'm in the same clothes the last time I saw him.
"Baby sitting hmmm.. I need a baby sitter. For Harley. My crew and I are going on tour" I smiled an actual smile. But I then frowned.
"What about his mum? I mean, couldn't she look after him?" he looked down. Way to go Tami!
"No. She left after she had him. She blamed it on me for getting her pregnant which it was partly my fault but we were both drunk" thanks for letting me know. "Anyway you probably don't need to know that."
He must of see the look on my face.
"What I was getting at was, would you like to babysit Harley while I'm on tour?"
but you'll be where ever and I'll be here, looking after your child. That's so long! I was planned to have a babysitting job where it's one night. "You would come on tour of course, if that's alright with your parents"
Phew! Wait what!?
"T-tour" I coughed out.
"Yeah.. I'm in a dance crew. We won AGT a few years back" what?
"AGT?" I don't have a TV
"Australia's got talent." Ohh
"I don't have a TV" or a house for that matter.
"Oh, well you should look us up" he's it the cutest smile. "Well here's my number. Give me a call when you've got your answer"
I nodded. He handed me a piece of paper with his number and other details on it.
"Well I've better get going. The boys will be wait for their food. Bye" he waved and entered the cafe next to us.
What's the odds of running into Lenny when I was just thinking about them. In the sense that I hadn't seen them in a while.
He offered me a job. To babysit his son AND go on tour with them just to look after him. Needs parent concent. You probably won't.
