As John and I were walking home, he told me about Tami and her mother being homeless. I felt bad. I felt bad because I didn't pick it up no should have known. I was homeless at one stage. I should know the signs but I guess when someone as beautiful as her walks into your life, you get distracted.
"And yeah. I told her about how we were like that." I wasn't paying attention but I think he told her how we were homeless.
I nodded picking up Harley has he was getting tired.
"Hey babe. How was the park?" Alesia asked.
"Good, good. Got a babysitting AND a stylish."
"What? But I thought I was going to babysit Harley." And here we go.
See, Alesia and I have been dating for almost two years. And in that time, she changed. No, not for the better or the worst, she's just.. different. She more clingy. Alway wanting to know what I'm doing, where I'm going, who I'm going with and when ill be home. She's also been controlling. Like she's my mum or something and that's not the Alesia I fell for.
"Alesia.."
"Lenny. In breaking up with you. You don't treat me how I should be." What? she bet me to it.
"You're never around. Always spending time with Harley and I saw you at the park the other day with a girl. I know you're cheating on-"
"Woah woah woah! hold it there. She's the new babysitter. She homeless and looking for a job. She kind, sweet and caring plus, Harley adores her. I giving her a chance. A chance at life"
"You letting a homeless girl look after Harley?" she pulled a face.
"DON'T YOU REMEMBER I WAS HOMELESS OR DID YOU FORGET. FORGET THAT I WAS AND ONLY REMEMBERED THAT I HAVE MONEY. MONEY THAT I COULD SPEND ON ANYTHING I WANTED BUT CHOSE TO SPEND ON YOU BECAUSE I LOVED YOU. WELL LOVED. NOT ANYMORE. so leave now" I quietened my voice at the end. Did she not remember. I told her when we first started see each other.
She got her bag and left not taking a second glance. She thought I was cheating. If I was I wouldn't do it somewhere so obvious. Not that in say I have cheated or thought about it, I would just be more smart.
"You alright?"
"I think I- I"
"Like Tami"
Twins. He knows what I'm thinking and I love him.
