After the close encounter with Lenny, I was more careful when I walked 'home' I would alway cross the road before I reached the park. They've been there everyday since.
"Hey Hun. What's this?" mum was looking at the piece of paper with Lenny's number on it.
"Oh nothing" I snatched it out of her hands.
"Tami Love Wells, tell me what that was" oh no.
"Umm well, you know how I was looking for a babysitting job?" she nodded. "Well a couple of days before that, I met this little boy who ran anyway from father at the park. Two weeks later, I ran into the father again and he saw me putting up the flyers and offered me to look after his son"
"That's great!" if only you knew. "Did you take it."
I shook my head.
"What? Why not?" where should I start.
"Um well he's apart of this dance crew that's going on tour. He wants me to go on tour with them" she was smiling. Wait what? Why was she smiling. I would be leaving her.
"Why are you smiling?" this is weird.
"Go. Take the job. Don't worry about me. Go and live your life." What.
"But what would happen to you?"
"Oh don't worry about me. I'll survive. I have for two years haven't I" the woman's got a point.
"But still. I can't leave you. Not after everything"
"Stop worrying about me. Call this cutie and say yes" cutie. Really.
"You haven't even met him. Why'd you call him cutie?" she shrugged her shoulders.
"I don't know. I needed to call him something." Alrighty then.
