after a few minutes jisung came back to the house with jaehyun following along.

"are you alright?" jaehyun asked with concern when he saw the bandage on her foot.

"i'm fine. i'm more worried about granny. what if something bad happened to her? her life could be in danger as we speak." y/n lamented.

"don't worry. she's just visiting a friend's house. it was a good thing i asked where she was going when i came back from school." jaehyun explained and calmed her down.

"thank you. i was really worried." y/n spoke almost sounding like she was crying.

"don't worry. i'm glad you came back home." jaehyun sat next to her.

"it's a good thing jisung came to me."

he smiled at the younger boy.

"well, i'm going to get changed. noona should too. you're gonna catch a cold if you don't." jisung went to his room leaving the two alone.

there was an awkward silence but y/n broke it by apologizing.

"i'm sorry."

"why are you apologizing?" jaehyun tilted his head.

"for troubling you." y/n spoke lowly.

"it's no problem. besides, we're neighbors so i have to take care of you too." jaehyun patted her head.

"wear this." he took the sweater he was wearing off and put it over her shoulders.

"i'm going back now." he said and y/n nodded.

"call me if you need any help ok?"

he stood up and was going to walk off but y/n suddenly grabbed his wrist.

he looked back in confusion.

"um..." y/n began.

"thank you for everything. i really mean it." she said sincerely.

"i can't really express my emotions that well so i may seem cold but i'm really thankful, yoonoh."

he smiled back at her, showing his dimples.

"i know. and i told you just call me jaehyun. i don't like being called my real name." he tried to soften up the mood.

"but-"

"no buts, now say it, jaehyun.
j-a-e-h-y-u-n."

"j-jaehyun." y/n said feeling flustered.

"good, now i'm going, or would you want me to sleep over?" he teased and y/n looked at him with a straight face.

"ok sorry, good night." he waved and left her house.

"thank you for visiting me, mrs. g/n.
it's been a long time." the lady smiled at the elder.

"it's no problem. i am so happy to see you. i heard your son's all grown up eh?" g/n asked with a grin.

"ah, mark? he's in his 2nd year of high school now but we don't know which school to enroll him in since we just moved back here from vancouver."

"well, my granddaughter's high school is not that far from your house." g/n stated.

"that's great! we'll put him there. he really misses y/n." mrs. lee said excitedly.

"yes, the two were extremely close but you guys had to move." g/n said shaking her head.

"he'll be so happy to meet her again. there hasn't been a day when he didn't mention y/n. i'm pretty sure he likes her." mrs. lee laughed.

"i should get going now. i think i forgot to tell y/n and jisung that i was coming here. i'm old already." g/n stated causing mrs. lee to gasp.

"let me take you home, mother, it's not safe for an old lady to travel at night." mrs. lee proposed.

"alright alright, next time I'll bring jisung and y/n with me."

mrs. lee drove the woman home and she was greeted by jisung.

"granny! we were so worried about you!" jisung said as he helped her walk in.

"aigoo, my baby jisung. granny forgot to call. i'm very sorry." she apologized laughing.

"y/n's asleep right now. she injured her foot when we went to the beach. don't worry, i took her to the hospital already." jisung informed and the grandmother sighed.

"what would i do without you." g/n smiled as jisung escorted her to her bedroom.

"good night, my grandson." she said kissing him on the forehead.

"goodnight." he kissed her cheeks.
