as usual, y/n woke up early to make breakfast for her family.

she also had to wake jisung up and make sure he had everything he needed for school.

her next door neighbor, jaehyun always greeted them when they walked past his house.

he attended the same school as her but they never talked in school.

he was friendly and y/n's grandma absolutely adored him.

*****

when she got to school, everyone was talking what they did during the break.

she has no time for those things.

it was the first day of school after all.

she went to class, and the only person who greeted her was the teacher.

she would reply back with a soft smile and bow in respect.

nothing really interested her.

she already knew what the lesson was and the answers as well.

being a third year, it was her last year.

she wanted to spend it peacefully but that wouldn't be possible.

she was doing her assignment when a familiar figure sat next to her and waved cheerfully to her.

"good morning, y/n." he whispered beaming with a smile.

y/n waved back and got back to her work.

the boy continued to stare at her but it never bothered her.

"do you need help, nakamoto yuta?" she asked and he only shook his head.

"no. i just wanted to admire you for a moment." he grinned.

she rarely smiled even when he complimented her.

she was seen as a cold and emotionless girl who only cared about her grades but she didn't care what other people thought.

it was true she cared about her grades but she wasn't obsessed.

it wasn't a lie she loved reading as well.

in fact she always went to the library when she didn't have work.

"i wish we have a project again so i can partner up with you again this year." yuta stated with hope.

y/n didn't mind his company, in fact, she wanted him to teach her japanese.

from her perspective, yuta was always smiling, bright and cheerful.

she was none of that in school.

the only time she smiled was when she was at home or at work.
