- A week later -
Melody P.O.V I walked over to my locker and grabbed my books out. The bell rang. The bell rang and Ross wasn’t there yet? I shrugged it off and got to drama-class. I sat down in the back of class, and my class walked in. Even Rocky, Riker, Ell and Rydel. No sign of Ross. I looked around with a confused look on my face. Riker, Rocky, Ell and Rydel sat down on their places, which were next and in front of mine. The teacher walked in and sat down on her chair on her own little stage in the class-room. Just before the bell rang, Ross ran into the class-room. “I’m here!” “Go sit down, Ross.” The teacher said sternly. Ross hurried over to his place and sat down.
“As you might’ve known, prom is coming up.” When the word ‘prom’ came out of her mouth Rydel and I both shivered. Prom was the thing every girl waited so long for, and now it was weeks away. “And the tickets have been available since ten minutes ago. You can buy them at the registration or you can buy them right here in your own time.” She said. Rydel turned in her chair and looked towards me. Every girl in the room started to chit-chat about it. “What if I don’t have a date for then? I would be so embarrassed!” She said and had a shocked expression on her face. “You’ll be fine, Del.” I said.
Drama-class was nothing more than another lesson of practicing the school musical, which I wasn’t even planning on joining for. But the Lynches and Ell convinced me, because they thought my singing was pretty good. We decided not to write our own numbers for it, and that was okay. Ross and I practiced ‘Counting Stars’ together and everyone was watching. It was kind of fun. Ross made me feel comfortable on the stage without words, just by doing the things he did, made me feel comfortable. “Okay done for today!" The teacher suddenly said. Everyone started to leave.
During the day, nothing weird happened. But when I finished my last class, Ross texted me to come over to the roof of the school. It wasn't allowed to come there, but if Ross said it, I couldn't ignore it, right? I made my way to the rooftop and saw Ross leaning against the railing. "Why here? It's kind of forbidden to come here." I said and wrapped my arms around him from behind. He leaned his head to the side, so our cheeks were against each others'. "I wanted it to be special, and it won't take long, we'll be gone before anyone notices." He said.
"Tell meeeeee!" I gave him a playful pout. He turned around, so he was facing me and suddenly had two tickets in his hands. "This is why I came late this morning." I gasped. Prom-tickets!!! "You wanna go to prom? With me?" He asked a bit shy. I didn't get why he was so shy, but it was adorable. "A thousand times yes!" I yelled happily and wrapped my arms around his neck. He lifted me up and spun me around. When he put me back on the ground, he pressed his lips to mine softly. The kiss lasted long, and slowly Ross deepened it. I slowly pulled back. "Are you okay?" He asked. I nodded lightly. "Yeah. Just fine." I said and gave him a big smile. "We have to shop for prom soon! I'm gonna ask Rydel for it!" I ran back into school and started to search for Rydel.
