Melody P.O.V Rydel and I shopped till we literally dropped. We spend five hours in the mall, searching for the perfect prom-outfits. When we left the last shop, the stores were closing already.  “I think we should head home.” Rydel said and giggled as she looked over at a few closing stores. We walked over to the Lynches, where we hugged each other goodbye. When Rydel walked into the house, Ross ran out. “Babe, wait! Don’t walk off yet! I didn’t even had a huggie today!” He pouted as he ran towards me. I chuckled as he wrapped his arms around me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him back.

“What did you buy?” He was about to look in my bags, when I turned them away for him. “You can see when you’re picking me up for prom, you can’t see them yet.” I chuckled. He pouted, but this time I could resist it. “I gotta go, Ross.” I said. “Babe, wait.” He grabbed me around the wrist. “I need help with studying for the final exam. I’m having so much trouble with it.” He said. I rolled my eyes at him. “You sure need help, you didn’t need help for the others either.” I said and released my wrist from his grip. “I mean it.” He chuckled when he said that, that was when I knew he was kidding. “See you tomorrow.” I said and walked off, looking back at him a few times.

When I got home, I laid my new pieces of clothing and jewelry on my bed, trying to match everything. After twenty minutes of trying on clothes and jewelry and trying different hairstyles, I finally found the perfect outfit for prom. I changed into my pyjama’s and hung the outfit in my closet, the jewelry on my desk. I took a quick shower and dried and brushed my hair after. I laid down on my bed and grabbed my books. I was about to go and study, when my phone lit up. I unlocked my phone and saw a Tweet from Ross: Studying… I don’t get it at all… Someone help me, please?

Okay, maybe he wasn’t kidding when he told me like exactly the same like an hour ago. Well, you can’t shine at everything. I locked my phone again and laid it down on my nightstand. I studied for like an hour and thirty minutes, when I felt my eyes getting heavy. I threw my books into my bag and cuddled up underneath my blankets, slowly falling asleep. I had a dream about me and Ross on the prom. He looked absolutely stunning in a tuxedo. We slowed to the music and our gazes were locked. Everything was perfect…

The next morning I woke up with a wide smile on my face, because of the dream. It was Saturday today, which meant there wasn’t anything on the planning yet. I stayed in bed for longer, when suddenly my door opened. “Hey there, beautiful.” Ross’ head popped up from behind the door. “You could’ve texted me saying something like I’m coming over, I would’ve gotten dressed.” I groaned. He closed the door behind him and gave me a confusing look. “Why?” I sat up slowly. “Cause I’m ugly without make-up on and with my hair undone…” I said sadly. He placed his bag, probably filled with books, on the ground and sat down next to me on  my bed, placing his hand on my cheek.

“To me, you’re always beautiful. Don’t doubt yourself that much.” He said and kissed my forehead. I cuddled closer to him, making him lay down immediately. He wrapped his arms around me, and kissed my forehead several times more. “You weren’t here to cuddle, were you?” I asked when we were all cuddled up, I couldn’t help but yawn because of the comfortable situation. He shook his head, chuckling a bit. “I meant it when I said that I needed help for the final exam, and since my baby girl is so smart, I thought she could help me with it.” He had a smirk on his face. “I’m not that smart, but I will help you with it.” I smiled dorkily and kissed the top of his nose. “Are we gonna do it now?”  He asked. I sighed but nodded. “I guess you need the time, so yeah.” He got up and the warmth and the comfiness was suddenly gone. I grabbed one of my hoodies and threw it on. I got downstairs and grabbed us some drinks and snacks and walked back upstairs, where Ross sat on my bed, with his books right in front of him.
