Melody P.O.V. "Damn" I heard Ross whispering next to me. I guess he saw Mackenzie too. He grabbed my arm and guided me to one of the benches. We sat down and waited.

"Hello Ross" Mackenzie said turning around. She was sitting in front of us. "Mackenzie" Ross said cold. "how are you doing?" She asked. "fine" I could tell Ross didn't wanna talk to her. "I'm fine too" Mackenzie smiled, "so, you're with that now" Mackenzie said looking at me. The bus stopped at the other side of the mall. "C'mon babe" Ross said, he took my hand and we walked out of the bus. "wait here" Ross said, he walked into a store. I sat down on a bench to wait for my blonde boyfriend to come back. "Waiting for your boyfriend?" I looked up and saw Mackenzie behind me. She sat down next to me. "Look, I know you don't like me and I don't like you but I have to say this. Ross isn't your boyfriend because he likes you, he is with you because he feels sorry for you” I looked at Mackenzie like she is crazy. “You’re just jealous, Ross changed” I said. “c’mon sweetie don’t be so naïve. A guy like him with a girl like you?! Impossible.” Tears started to well up in my eyes, she is right. Ross can’t like me. “Mel!” I looked up and saw Ross walking over to me. “Don’t forget what I said” Victoria said and walked away. “Mel, are you okay? What did she say?” Ross asked pulling me into a hug. “I’m fine Ross” I said pulling away. “Let’s go home” Ross said, “I texted Rydel, she’s here in five minutes.” I nodded, I didn’t really pay attention. I was still thinking about what Mackenzie said. I looked at Ross, with his beautifull blonde hair, hazel eyes and muscles. Victoria is definitely right…. He can’t like me, he is feeling sorry for me. I felt tears welling up in my eyes when I thought of that. “Babe are you sure you’re okay?” I felt Ross’ strong arms wrapped around me. He tried to look me in the eyes, but I avoided his gaze. “Babe” Ross said lifting up my chin with his finger. He kissed my forehead, “I love you.” I said nothing, I just looked away. “Rydel is here” Ross said. I followed him to Rydel’s car. I quickly took the passenger’s seat, so Ross has to sit in the back.

The  whole ride to the Lynches home, I stared outside. We got out of the car, “Babe, come with me” Ross said, he put his arm around my shoulder and we walked into Ross and Rylands bedroom. “Ryland leave” Ross said. “Fine” Ryland said, he winked at me. I put on a fake smile. Ryland left en Ross sat down on his bed. “Babe, I got something for you” Ross said, he got something out of his pocket. He handed me a little box. I opened it and saw a heart necklace with his name on it. I felt tears in my eyes again. “now everyone knows you’re mine” Ross said smiling. Tears started to stream down my face. “Babe, what’s wrong?” Ross asked pulling me over to his bed. Me made me sit down and pulled me into a hug. “what’s wrong?” Ross asked again. “It’s just that, you don’t like me… you’re with me because you feel sorry for me” I whispered.  “What?! That is not true. Who told you that?” “no one” I said. I tried to talk normal but my voice broke. “Babe, who told you that?” Ross said not believing me. “Mackenzie” I whispered. “Mackenzie?! And you believe her?” “Look Ross, I don’t believe Mackenzie, but she did open my eyes” I said. “give me that” Ross said taking his necklace from me. He sat down behind me and put it around my neck. “Babe, listen really carefully, I love you. Your hair, your smile, your personality, your everything. Don’t listen to anyone who says other things and if you ever doubt about it again, you have to come to me” Ross said looking serious. His hazel eyes darting in mine. I smiled and Ross laid down. He pulled me on top of him. “Never forget that again” He whispered and pressed his lips on mine.
