It was dark when he got home. Everything was dark. The lights were off. Hmm. Now, where could his parents be? Ah. Right, pack meeting.

"Harold! What the hell was that for!" He heards his mothers voice outside their house. Ugh. His parents were deeply in love with each other like all mates are.

Mates are the other half of you. They are the ones that completes the missing pieces in you. They are destined for you. A mate is a person made completely just for you. Destined by the moongoddess herself. You'll get to find your mates after the first shift. You'd be able to recognize her by her scent, her voice, her eyes, her everything. Like having the person of your dreams sketched and bought to life.

You must be asking why does everything happens after the first shift? Your first shift is like a rite of passage. This is a sign of adulthood. Everyone born as a werewolf goes through this passage and once you've shifted you'd be able to feel your wolf and with training you can become one with it completely.

"Hold it, woman. You aint escapin' me clutches." his mother chukled at his fathers words.
"Harold, I swear--!" hearing his parents act like love struck teenagers makes his ears bleed. He shuddered at the thought. So he decided to creep inside the house to go all the way up to his room.

A strong arm pulled the collar of his shirt halting him from walking any further. Allen turned his head and smiled. "Good evening, dad!"

"Whe-"

"ALLEN LIONEL BLACK. WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN, PUP!!" before Harold could say anything to his pup, he was cut off by his wifes screeching voice. Harold frowned. His wife really was something. He was the one being paranoid all afternoon but it was his wife whos snapped at their mischievous son. He smirked and let goes of Allen and left him with the boss herself. Allen gave a pleading look at his dad but Harold raised his both his hands saying that hes on his own.

Allen was taken back by his mother. Oh-oh this is bad. He tried running for his life. His mother was a petite woman with the hight of 5'3. People may think shes the sweetest thing you'd ever see at first glance but shes scary when you flip her switch. She is the Luna after all. She is strong, flexible, amazing in battle and totally scarier than his dad when shes angry. His dad may be one of the strongest alpha but his mother was THE strongest luna in the whole state.

A luna, if you might ask, is the counter part of an alpha. They are their mates. Their other half. They are the Female alphas of the pack.

Lisa grabbed Allens ear which made him scream in pain. "Mom-!"

"Your father has been worried sick! I texted you to hurry home and I find you hours later! You didn't even attend the pack meeting again! " Lisa lets go of Allens ear then continued to reprimand the boy.

"Mom?" Allen flinched at the sensation he felt.

"You know that this is a crucial time for you! Look at the time! Why I--" Lisa went and grabbed the clock by the ceiling.

"Mom!" Allen called for his mother. The feeling escalated from his toes, to his hands until it spread across hid body.

"I'm not finished. Look at the time! Its almost time for you to-" when Lisa turned around, Allen was sweating like Niagrra Falls.

"Mooom!!!" Allen screamed. The sensation turn into piercing pain.

The shifting has started.

"Allen! Ya blasted child!" Harold went to his sons side and lifted him up.

"Carry him to the backyard!" Lisa screamed in panic.

In the backyard, there he lay with the earth bellow him and the moon above him.

His skin burns like hot metal on flame. He slowly small spikes came out which felt like thousand ants biting him over and over again. Hair started to grow and his limbs started to change.

Hours. It took hours.

Lisa could hardly look at her pup who is struggling with his wolf. His cries. His groans. His pain. It was all too much to watch but all she could do was sit there and wait. Wait for her son.

Scream. He kept screaming till he felt he could scream no more.

His bones, his muscles, every touch and every move was painful.

Harold on the other hand took a beer from the fridge. The sight of his son wasn't pretty for him to watch. He stood there and guarded the young lad so that if anything happens. He'd be able to run him to the pack doctor.

Slowly, Allen felt an embrace that started surrounding him like a lovers touch filled with warm and care.

His wolf. He felt its animal instincts run through his veins.

A howl. His first howl.

It was heard through out the pack. Power came crawling inside him.

Howls of nearby wolves echoed his own.

He breathe his first breath as a wolf. After all the intensity of his shift, he opened his eyes and see for the first time.

His parents was beside him. His mother was crying with tears of relief and his father a smile filled with pride.

Slowly he tried to get up.

Lisa wipped her tears but when she looked a lot closer to Allen she was stunned. "Harold--!"

"Aye." her husband whispered. "His wolf aint no ordinary one."

"I thought they were..." Lisa gasped at the thought.

Allen staggered. He could still feel pain within his flesh and joints but standing on four paws was harder than he thought. He blinked a couple of times and tried to stay awake but he was too tired. Sleep kept pulling him into rest. Soon sleep took him and he crashed on the solf green lawn.

His parents rushed towards him as he close his eyes.

"Allen!" He heard his moms voice call out for him.

Then everything turned into pitch black.
