Chapter 5: The Party

Allens POV

I greeted everyone with a smile but... Damn it I'm bored. Where is that stupid Kean anyway? He hasn't come back yet. I sighed.

I stiffen when I felt my wolf scratch in the back of my mind. Hes going crazy inside. Hes been pushing me to shift and I've neen on the edge because of it. My parents forbid me to shif for a while but I just need to right now. I have to ask dad.

"Allen!" my mom called out to me. I went over to her side quickly. "Yes, Luna?"

"Have you seen Kean anywhere?" She looked at me and frowned. "Apparently not."

"He just need time. He must thinking about it somewhere." I said. "Very well. " I smiled at her. "Hopefully this doesn't start any war against Alpha Jasons Pack."

I looked for dad and saw him talking to Alpha Jason. I went over and heard a few things due to my wolf ears, "If he hurts jasmine. I swear I'll kill him."

"Like I said, the boy has been through a lot and..." Both the Alphas noticed my presence right away. "Alpha I wish to talk to you in private." He nodded and excused himself from Alpha Jason.

"What is it son?"

"Dad I need to shift."

"Allen we've talked 'bout this..."

I know they think I need more training but my wolf has been really jumpy ever since the shift well considering the fact that my first shift WAS the first and last time I have yet shifted, I think its reasonable for my wolf to be like this.

"He wants to come out."

"A'right.. Its not healthly for the wolf and ya. Go out but be quick. Don't let any one 'er see ya."

"Everyones here I doubt someone would see me."

"Aye, ye can go."

"Yes!" Cool. He actually let me! I smirked internally. Hehe

"But... After the speech, ya?"
I nodded and He smiled then the party went on.

Jasmines POV

"Hey." Allen Black came to me with a smile and a sypathetic look."I'm sorry about earlier. Kean isn't always like that."

Kean. So his name is Kean. The sound of my mates name made my wolf howl with delight.

I don't want a mate.

His word were formidable. He didn't want us. My wolf whined at the thought. No. There has to be a reason. Our mate wouldn't reject us, would he?

"Ms. Grace?" Alle snapped me back from the thoughts of my mate. "I'm sorry." I said and he smiled.

"No need. I understand that you and your wolf must be in pain right now." I nodded. "Anyway, as I was saying. Please give him a chance. Kean isn't just my beta. He is also my best friend. Hes a good guy. Its just that... There are times when a good guy gets to experience bad things and it leaves scars. I think hes just confused."

"What do you mean?" Scars? My mate must be in pain.

"He-" We were interupted when Alpha Harold came and called Allen for the welcoming address. "Enjoy the rest of the night." He said and left me puzzled by his words.

I sat at the table meant for my family. My father looked tense. I sighed. His really mad at our mate. My mother sat by my side and held my hand. "It'll be alright sweety." I smiled faintly and tried to keep my mind busy with the party.

"Thank you everyone for coming to the anual Peace Treaty Commemoration. In honor for our fallen brothers and the long awaited peace of our kind. We celebrate for our brotherhood under the moongoddess' guidance. We thank you all for your hardwork and wish to continue to be part of the treaty. "

"Aye." One by one each alpha invited said. "Aye." Luna Lisa smiled as she ended her speech. "May the moongoddess bless you all."

"Praise the holy mother." Everysingle wolf responded. Alpha Harold took the mic from his mate and said, "Aye, le's te'r this blasted joint ap'rt. "
Cheering and music was heard everywhere but to my fear, "Dad?"

Where could my father be?

Third person POV

Allen went out of the pack house. He went to a secluded area then stretched his arms out. After stretching he started to strip his clothes off then left it by the corner.

Then he shift.

He felt it. His wolf.

Taking over him, his wolf started to jump in glee. This doesn't seem so bad.

He took off and started running. He felt the ground under his paws and the winds against him. Nature in its purest form.

He smiled. Well if he kept on going he might find kean somewhere.

Run. He went and ran across the trees where the moonlight followed with ease. Beautiful. His wolf had been craving this feeling. The sense of freedom he lacked. He accelerated and kept running. His heart beat was racing with him. Heat enveloped him. He breathe the air into his lungs and his wolf howled. Adrenaline came rushing. Leap. Run. Run. Run.

Then halt. Somethings wrong.

The woods were too quiet. Nothing made a sound. Not even a cricket.

He felt his fur stand. His wolf was on guard. Threat.

"And... What do we have here?" a man came out of the shadows. A man with a scar trailing down from his eyebrow to his cheek, with one dead eye and a permanent grin on his face. His wolf growled at the man. "Ahh... This is a surprise! I thought you guys were extinct!"

Extinct??"But it looks like its my lucky day." he smirked "You gonna fetch me good price, you are!"

This man is a bounty hunter.
