The smell of alcohol, disinfectant and medicine attacked his sense of smell as he walked inside the packs hospital. The hall seemed very long and quiet since it was already after 9:00pm. He held a bouquet of daisies and baby's breath.
His footsteps strode through each room looking for a particular name.
"Lisa Black Room 405"
He opened the door and heard the machines beeping simultaneously. He sighed heavily as he saw the state she was in. Losing your mate could take a toll on a wolf. Others follow soon after.
But he knew Lisa was trying to fight the darkness off. She was fighting. Yes, the very reason that shes still breathing means she is fighting.
He sat down by the chair near the hospital bed.
"Hey firecracker. Seems to me that you're getting too old that you decided to sleep your way through this, eh?" Beta Chris doesn't know whether he'd cry or not. His heart was breaking into millions of pieces. His brother died and his childhood friend was in a coma, He is torn between his son and his nephew, and he is stuck running a pack that was almost burnt down to ashes. Heavens, he was pleading on what he should do. "Aye, lass. My brother thought you were a wild fire that could endanger the warewolf species when we were younger but I guess things turned out closer to that." He chuckled. "I'm just messin' with ya. Anyway, the kids are turning more curious that ever. I'm afraid of What might happen to Allen in the future. I know they brewin' something in their little minds, they are." His lips curved into a sad smile" naughty child. Got it from his father. No doubt about that." Another sigh escaped his lips at the thought of his brother." Wake up you old firecracker. He is after all blessed and I don't know what to do bout that."
The next day...
"The sun is shining, the birds are singing and its a great time to beat a sense into your cousin." Kean said enthusiastically.
"Oh, the irony." Allen mischievously grinned. "Nothing like a bit of exercise won't do."
"Ooohh... confident are we?" Kean chuckled as he imitates a lady exclaiming "How marvellous,my dear alpha!" He betted his eyelashes.
"Ew." Allen indiscriminately said.
They both laughed it off and went straight to the arena or of whats left of it. After the incident, the arena was burnt halfway through but thankfully it was still manageable. It's designed like those greek arenas that are circular and open.
"Allen so nice of you to deliver your ass!" Kallum taunted.
"Gee, kallum! I didn't know you liked asses that much!" Kean bit back.
Allen let the two bicker at each other while he relaxed himself before the battle.
"I know you'll win." Kean remarks as a matter of fact. This earned him a chuckle from Allen."Who do you think you're talking to?"
Alas, who would have thought this day would ever come? Allen wouldn't. He never wanted to fight against his cousin, he didn't want to waste his energy on him. His father always had put his family first. "We protect our own." He'd always say. Be it your own family, friends, pack. His father had a big heart for all. Since, he, in Allen's eyes, is still family, no matter how ambitious he is. Allen still didn't see the need to argue with him.
"My dear cuz! What a pleasure!" Kallum said. Sarcasm filled each syllable as he taunted Allen with his toothy grin.
Allen sighed "Don't make a fool out of yourself"
