Allens POV
"What the hell!!" Kean rushed over behind Allen.
"Damn it!! Shut up!! I need to hide!!" Kean kept looking for a place to hide but in a kitchen where would you expect he could hide?
"Thats the fridge, you idiot!"
"Ssshhh! The devil of a shewolf will find me!!!"
Jasmine, Keans mate stayed after the party. Per tradition a female wolf will join her mates pack but I dont think thats the only reason.
Shes smitten by him.
"Oh! There you are!"
Kean and I snapped our heads to the girl who just entered the kitchen.
"what are you doing in the fridge?"
'dude help!!' kean mindlinked me.
I chuckled, 'Sure, whats in it for me?'
'Asshole!! Fine, I owe you one.' I smirked.
"Hey jas!" Jasmine turned her attention to me with a bright smile. "Oh, Hey Allen! Whats up!"
"I heard you like music and such."
"Yeah, I play a few instruments."
"Cool. You see, the music teacher in the pack school kind of is on maternity leave. I was thinking if--"
"If I could fill in?"
"You dont have to, if you dont wan-"
"sure! I'd love to!" she seemed happy about my suggestion. I grinned. I was gonna ask her about it today but seeing how desperate my beta is, its like killing two birds with one stone.
"Great. I already told the people there about it. You could go and inquire right now if you want."
She clapped her hands in excitement, "Thanks. I feel like I really am part of this pack now! I'll see you later pooh!" She blew a kiss to kean and then ran off.
I looked at kean with amusement. "Pooh?"
"Damn it!! Why'd you give her job?? Now it'll be even harder to make her leave!!"
"Exactly." dumbfounded, I left kean with his mouth wide open."You owe me one!"
I strutted out of the pack house only to find my mother in the garden. Shes awfully very quiet.
I smell trouble.
Her mind seems to be too occupied. I sat down beside her and she didn't even notice.
"Hello pretty lady. Penny for your thoughts?"
"The hell do you think youre talking to!! Oh-! Allen!"
I chuckled at my moms reaction "Hi Mom. You okay?"
"Yeah... Just the usual pack business."
She moved closer and rested her head on my shoulder. "You know, me and your dad would do anything to keep this, right?"
My parents dream was to create a safe haven for wolves. They want to prevent any kind of hostility and violence. They wanted the next generation to live free and no worries. One war is enough, my father always said. We dont need another.
I looked around and understood what they meant. Children run around with carefree smiles. Families filled with love. A pack bonded by trust.
A place where peace is in its best.
"I know..." I smiled at her, "Which is why you have to turn that frown upside down cuz you have work to do, Luna."
She chuckled and straightened herself up, "my look how much my pup has grown." she patted my head amd smiled brightly, "I must be getting old... A youngster like you is cheering me up."
