They say sometimes a person needs a second chance because they weren't quite ready for the first. Let's just hope that's true today when I go on this date. I don't know what will come out of this, but I'm prepared to see. Wish ya girl luck!

I post that to my blog then look at the time in the corner of my computer. D'Anthony is supposed to be picking me up in twenty minutes for our date. I get up from my desk going over to my full length mirror checking myself out. I decided not to dress up because 1. I'm not going to waste a perfectly good outfit if this date turns out shitty or if he doesn't show up again and 2. He told me not to.

Since I have the extra time I decide to put on a matte red lip then throw on some hoops. As I'm switching purses there's a knock at my apartment door. I look at the clock on my wall seeing he's ten minutes early this time around. I go over to my door then check my hair in the mirror on the wall near it. I open my mouth making sure there's not lipstick on my teeth then lick them. I push my bang into the perfect spot then open the door. D'Anthony's standing there in a black t-shirt, black jeans and foamposite's with a smile on his face. "Hey! I was able to find my keys this time around," he says as I let him in.

"Good because this was your last chance."

"I figured. You ready?" He asks as I go grab my purse.

"Yup," I respond. When I turn around D'Anthony is standing there with his hands behind his back awkwardly. "What's up with you?" I ask with furrowed eyebrows.

"These are for you," he says pulling a bouquet of purple hydrandea's.

"Oh, wow. How did you know..." I say in surprise. "Those were my favorites," I say in a low breath as I take them from him.

"I noticed the two times I've been here you always have a fresh set," he says shifting his eyes to the white ones I have in a vase on my dining room table.

"Observant, I see. Thank you. They're pretty," I say giving him a smile. He smiles back then I say, "Let me put these in water then we can leave." I go to the kitchen and grab a vase down from the cabinet. I fill it up with water from the sink then put the flowers in it. I take the vase over to my buffet then sit in the middle saying, "The perfect spot. Okay, we can go now." That just scored him some points. We leave my apartment and I lock up.
