Ch. 43, Part 2
I stir in my sleep struggling between being partially awake and still asleep. I couldn't sleep peacefully because I could hear noise in the background. "Zipporah," I hear a male voice say. I lay flat on my stomach with my face turned to the side with my eyes still shut. I groan in response to the person calling my name making them begin to tap me as I lay under the covers.
The bed dips in with the squeaky noise of the springs as someone sits on the end of the bed. "Zi, you got class on Fridays?" He asks tapping me some more.
"I don't have class on Friday's, D. You know that," I say groggily as I still lay there.
"D?" The person says as a question. I open my eyes for the first time realizing that definitely wasn't D'Anthony's voice. I flip over opening my eyes to see Brayden sitting there with no shirt and a towel around his waist...
He runs his hand over his mouth saying, "I might've given you the D last night, but I'm not D." He chuckles as I just look up at the ceiling. I didn't find it funny at all, but I put myself in this predicament.
"Sorry, Brayden," I mumble making sure to get his name right.
Last night was honestly a blur. After D'Anthony left, I called Brayden asking if I could come over and he said yes like I expected. Even when I made the call I didn't really know what I was doing or getting myself into. Immediately after I hung up I regretted it and told myself to just take my ass home. I was exhausted anyway. I went back into the bar to get at least one drink in me and I noticed D'Anthony was gone. He left with the same girl I found him with behind the building of the bar according to my soror, Tanisha.
