Stepping through the opening, she had created; she saw red rose bushes and tall red trees the swayed in the soft breeze. It sounded like faded screams when the leaves swished. It blew across her face whipping her hair around, and a metallic sent filled her nose. In front of her was a red brick road leading off into the forest. She took one step forward, then another, and another; taking in all the deep crimsons, and auburns all around her. The smell of sickly sweet roses filled her nostrils. Well this is a bit boring. She thought, still walking. Something shifted behind the trees and she turned to face it!

“Who is there!” she yelled. There was no answer; she kept walking a little faster now. A rustle came from the right side of her. “Show you!” she screamed. She spun around to try and find the thing that was following her. She grew scared and bolted down the red path. The rustling and snapping of twigs was on each side of her now, and she ran faster. The rose bushes grew closer to the road, and the tree seemed larger, and thicker. Soon rose thorns tore at her clothes, cutting the denim on her jeans, and scratching her tender skin. She was crying now, completely consumed by her own fear of what might be chasing her. Her vision blurred with the tears that cascaded down her cheek. Her imagination ran wild, hand in hand with her fear. Horrifying images appeared in her mind, monsters, demons, a crazy psycho with an axe. “Stop it!” she screamed “stop it! Leave me alone” she ran harder and harder. She didn’t see the root that stuck up, but she did feel her foot snag it, and then the sensation of falling.

Her face hit the red bricks hard, and her cheeks were scraped from the rose bushes on each side. She groaned in pain as she tried to pull herself up. Her nose hurt and she could feel warm blood gushing down into her mouth. She spat it out and pushed through the bushes, cutting her hands, as she pushed them back. She tried to run again but her whole body throbbed with cuts, and bruises. She finally made it into a clearing. Excused she fell, and crawled to a flat stone. She heard cruel distorted voices all around her. She sobbed and hugged herself

“Go way! Leave me alone!” wailed. A dark figure with white sharp teeth and four eyes on its head jumped at her. Its fingers dug into her shoulders and shook her back and forth. She screamed with pain and fear. She struggled and tried to push the brut off of her. “Let me go! Let me go!” she screamed, kicking her legs and swing her arms wildly. It opened its mouth and roared in her face. The smell of rotten flesh smashed into her senses of smell. She gaged, and her head swam with dizziness, from the shaking. “Stop it!” begged, sobbing loudly. “Let me go!” it moved its mouth making distorted noises; odd sounds that sounded like words of some kind but seemed to alien. It tried again.

“Aiaew wakdad up” it scoffed, shaking her harder. “Ambkad wakd fuoo oop!” another figure jumped her from behind grabbing her waist and jerking. The two fought over her pulling her back and forth. She felt as if her body would split into. Again the first creature tried to speak “Amver Wake da Fuck oop!” she understood it this time, though it was still distorted. And then the creature yelled again, this time is sounded like her step dad, “AMBER WAKE THE FUCK UP!” the cruel hand let go of her shoulder and slapped her hard it the face making her shut her eyes. She screamed and opened her eyes, to see a very pissed off Jimmy standing over her. Her face still stung from the hit, but she wasn’t sure if it was him or the creature that did it.

“I’m alive,” she breathed.

“Of course you are, you stupid bitch” yelled Jimmy, standing up to leave, “if your late for school again today I’ll make sure you aren’t alive. And don’t lock your door any more. I own this house and have the right to enter any door I want at any time.” With that he slammed the door and stomped down the stairs.

“That was one fuckedup dream…” she said, her body ached as if it had actually happened and her throat hurt from screaming. She turned to look at her alarm clock. 8:25. “shit!” she hissed jumping up, not even bothering to change out of the clothes she fell asleep in, “Fuck I’m gunna be late!” she grabbed her backpack and rushed out the door to school.
