Amber sat numbly on the floor of the circle room. Tears still spilled silently down her cheeks. She stared absentmindedly at the blue door. The paint looked faded and as if it was melting off slowly. A puddle of blue was below it. He eyes drifted to the golden, yellow, door. A perfect, unbroken, heart was hanging in the middle of it. Amber rose from sitting and her body felt heavy. She walked with lead feet and stood in front of the door. She reached out, brushing the golden handle with her fingertips. Nothing happened. The door seemed extremely normal, except for its color. She pulled on the handle and the door opened in front of her, exposing a hallway with black doors on each side.

Amber felt so empty that she was indifferent on what she had just walked into. She drifted to the first door and tried its handle. It was locked. So she moved to the other side. That door was locked too. She kept trying the next door, and the next, but they were all locked. Soon Amber began to get irritated.

“Is there one door that ISN’T FUCKING LOCKED!” She shouted down the hall. No one answered. Frustrated, she punched the wall. “FUCK!” She hollered, pulling her hand to her chest, and nurse her sore knuckles. Angry tears started to fall, and she fell to her knees, and sobbed quietly. Amber held her shoulder, hugging herself. “Please. What door can I open? Why does it seem like no place wants me,” She buried her face in her palms and cried louder.

Something creaked. She looked up to see a door, a few doors from her, was slightly cracked open. She gazed at it for a moment, and then pushed herself off the floor, darting toward it. Just as her hands reached out and touched the knob, it shut and locked. Rage surged through Amber’s body, and she began to kick and pound on the door.

“You fucker!!! Stop messing with me!! Peter!?!? Emit?!?!? If it’s you I swear to God that-“ Another creak. Amber looked to see another door ahead that was cracked open slightly. She stopped pounding and ran for it. Again it shut just as she reached it. But before she had time to get angry another door did opened just the same.

Amber chased door after door, running faster and faster, trying desperately to catch a door. At last she reached out just in time and her hand wrapped around the knob pulling back before it had time to shut.

“GOT-CHA!” she hissed, swinging it wide open. She stepped in quickly and the door shut behind her. “UGH! WHAT THE FUCK!!!” she wailed. In front of her were two doors. The one to her left was purple, while the one to her right was white. She took a few steps forward debating on which to try first.

“Try the purple one,” whispered a charming voice. Amber looked around, but no one was there. Arms draped over her shoulders and a hand stroked her cheek. “The purple one is where I am,” Emit whispered, giving her ear a light nip. A shiver of panic and pleasure sparked up her spine.

“and who is in the white one?” she asked. Emit let her go and walked over to the white door, leaning up against it.

“No one as important as me,” He smiled.

“Amber?” Amber turned to see a cute boyish face. The guy stood about the same height as Emit. He had short curly brown hair, and forest green eyes. Emit’s smile dropped to a frown.

“Who are you?” She asked him.

“It’s me. Its Dalton,” he said smiling. Amber looked at him in surprise.

“You’re… you’re Dalton?” she breathed. He nodded, he moved to get closer but Emit stepped in front of Amber.

“Beat it.” He glared at Dalton, “She is mine.”

“I believe that the choice up to her,” Dalton said ignoring Emit’s death stair. Amber thought about it. She didn’t really know either of them. But what she knew about Emit was enough. She pushed him away from her and hugged Dalton

“IDIOT!” Emit shrieked. Amber looked back at him. “You don’t even know what he is!! He is going to take your mind from you! Do you want to be stuck here?”

“No, Emit.” Dalton said back, “That is what you are planning to do to free yourself.” Emit snarled at Dalton.

“Stay out of this you prick!” he barked. Dalton calmly wrapped his arm around Amber’s waist. Amber gasped in surprise and blushed. They walked calmly toward the white door.

“No,” Emit shouted reaching out to grab Ambers arm, “If I can’t have her, you can’t either!!!!” Dalton smacked his hand away and punched him in the face, making him fall back, but not to the ground.

“Amber,” he said looking at her, “quickly. The door,” Emit charged again, and Amber ran for the door. Dalton punched him again. Amber grabbed the handle of the white door and pulled it open, white light blinded her and she was absorbed into it. The last thing she heard was Emit screaming,

“NNNNOOOOOO!” and then there was absolute silence.
