Finally- Hayes Grier

chapter 10

*Caitlyn's p.o.v*

Ugh. I hate boys like that. They scare me. I wasn't used to saying the stuff I said to the random boy but it just came out of my mouth. If it weren't for my mouth, I would've been hiding behind Hayes's back. Fights scare me. Even getting in trouble with the teacher scares me.

"Wanna go back in, or go somewhere else?" Hayes says into the top of my head which was leaning on his shoulder.

"Umm...anywhere far from them," I say pointing at the group of boys now giving us dirty looks.

"I agree," Hayes says standing up.

I take his hand which pulls me up from the bench and we wobble on our skates to where our shoes were. I hand him his shoes and grab mine as we both change into them.

"That was fun," Hayes says while putting his arm around my waist.

I give him a peck on the cheek and agree.

We decide to go to Chipotle and we both ordered a burrito.

I take the first bite of my burrido and look around until I hear Hayes laughing.

I look at him with a blank face and say, "What?"

He continues to laugh out of his nose because he has food in his mouth and takes his thumb and wipes my upper lip which had sauce on it.

I am embarrassed.

"Oh...you should've told me that before I looked around!" I say laughing.

He laughs and says, "Sorry babe."

We finish our burritos and head out.

"What'ya wanna do now?" He asks.

"Anything," I answer.

"My house," he says while taking my waist and walking.

I had my penny board so I was riding ahead of him while he walked while holding my hand.

I take a right but Hayes pulls my hand and stops me.

"It's this way," he laughs.

"Oh, sorry," I giggle.

We spend the rest of the way talking about the boy Magcon family and everyone in it.

When we finally get to his house, the door was opened by Skylynn.

"Caitlyn!!!!" She yells and hugs me.

I was honestly so happy that their family accepted me.

I hug her back and yell her name the way she yelled mine.

"Do you wanna come and play with my horsies?!' She squeaks.

"Ha. Ha. Very funny Sky. Caitlyn's gonna be with me," Hayes says, taking my hand.

I slap Hayes on the shoulder and say, "Sure Skylynn!"

She sticks her tongue out at Hayes and takes my hand and runs while I grab Hayes's hand, making us all run.

She brings us to her room filled with horses. She brings a doll horse to me and says, "Here Caitlyn! You can be Amber since you both are pretty!"

"Aw thanks Skylynn," I say.

"Just call her Sky," Hayes says into my ear.

I giggle and nod.

"Here Hayes! You take Mr. Grump, the bad guy because you both are mean!" Skylynn says handing a horse to Hayes.

I laugh while Skylynn takes another horse.

"Now Amber and my horse, Cindy are going to get ice cream but Mr. Grumps comes in and tries destroying the world! Got it?" Skylynn informs us.
