Finally- Hayes Grier

chapter 42

*I'm a little rusty with this story cause I haven't wrote in it for so long so please forgive me for any mistakes and I'm glad to update!!!

So with Hayes leaving Magcon and everything, the story kind of shifted. They're back at home, everything is back to normal and Hayes is part of another company now:). 2 more weeks of summer left, but they've been drifting apart after Hayes left Magcon and read the next 2 chapters to find out what happens to them! Enjooyyy <33

*Hayes' p.o.v*

The unfamiliar emptiness in my bed got me wide awake. Caitlyn's parents and my parents agreed that with only 2 more weeks of summer left, Caitlyn should be sleeping at home and so should I. No more sleeping over. 

Even though we see each other during the day, I miss cuddling with her. 

I reach over to grab my phone which is like my instinct every morning. I scroll through my notifications and reply to a few texts and like a few Instagram posts. 

Mornin babe :)

Morning hayes :) 

A minute later reply. She probably just woke up too. 

Come over 

I can't my parents are making me go school supply shopping super early this year idk why

come on everyone does that like the day before school starts 

haha bye hayes 

ugghh bye ;P

With that, I leave my bed and my phone to go get ready for the day. Caitlyn and I haven't really been hanging out as much lately. I can't imagine what it's going to be like when school starts. 

I search the house and see that no one was home. Again. 

I don't mind being alone, but I always had Caitlyn over when nobady was home, so I wasn't use to the emptiness. 

I ate a bowl of cereal and got dressed in shorts and a loose t-shirt even though I wasn't going anywhere. 

I washed up and turned on the tv. I didn't feel like making a vine because I was too tired for no reason. 

I switch through the channels and hear the doorbell. Was that my family? 

I walk to the door and open it. 

*Caitlyn's p.o.v* 

"Suprise!" I raise my arms as the door opens. 

"Caitlyn what are you doing here? I thought you had to go shopping," he replies, coming in for a hug. 

His familiar scent fill the air as I hug him back. 

"No, I wanted to suprise you because I haven't been here in a while...or what seems like a long time." 

"Hmm," he smiles with his mouth closed. 

"Come in," he says after he pulls away from the hug.

We go up to his room and plop down on his bed. 

I don't know what it is, but something's been feeling different between our relationship. We still text, but we don't really hang out and see each other as much. We're not as lovey dovey anymore and we don't really show our full emotions for each other anymore. We've started to run out of things to talk about. 

I shook off the thought and broke the silence.

"So how's everything?" 

"What do you mean?"
