Finally- Hayes Grier

chapter 20

*Caitlyn's p.o.v*

I woke up and looked up at Hayes still sleeping. I crawled out of bed as quietly as I could trying not to wake him up and as soon as I reached the door, I heard him say,

"Come baaaack."

I giggled.

"Get up, you lazybutt."

He just groaned and pulled the blanket over his face.

I rolled my eyes and left to the bathroom to wash up. As soon as I got back into my room, he was already up.

He gave me a peck on the lips and left to the bathroom.

"Let's go to my house. I'm pretty sure we're having a family night today," Hayes says when he gets back from the bathroom.

"Well I don't want to barge in when it's your family night," I say.

"No, Nash and Will always bring their girlfriends. Come on, it'll be fun," he makes a puppy face, making me giggle.

"Fiinne," I groan as he puts his fist in the air and shouts a big, "YES!"

We're on our way to his house with my dad dropping us off and wave him goodbye when we get there.

Hayes pulls out his house key and lets me in first, and I was greeted by Skylynn.

"Caitlyn! Just in time for you to show up! I-," Skylynn starts.

"No Sky. Caitlyn's mine for the day," Hayes finishes her off.

She crosses her arm and pouts, stomping her foot.

I laugh at the thought of the Grier siblings fighting over me.

"Come on Caitlyn," Hayes grabs my hand and runs upstairs.

"Have you ever tried playing games?" Hayes holds up a gun game.

Honestly, I have two brothers, so of course I'm better than a lot of other boys at games.

I pretended.

"Mmm, nah...but I'll give it a try," I say.

He chuckles. "I'll teach you."

I shrug and grab a control and try looking confused.

"What does this button do?" I ask, already knowing it was shoot.

"That's shooting," he laughs and shows me the rest of the buttons and what they're for as I pretend to listen.

I laugh, "Okay, alright, I got this."

"Nice confidence," he laughs.

I roll my eyes and focus on the game.

We played 3 rounds and I beat him at 2 of them.

I lost the 1st one because I tried acting confused in it.

I laughed at the end of our 3rd round which I beat him in and gave myself a high-five, making fun of him.

He looks down in disappointment and says, "You sure this is you're first time?"

"Nope," I laugh.

"You filthy liar," he makes a scrunched up face and tickles me.

I scream and cry out for him to stop.

"Hayes shut up!" We both hear Nash in his room.

We both look at each other and make an "Ooooo" face.

"Sorry Nash," I yell.

We both giggle and get up off the floor.

"Well since you beat me, I shall treat you to a trip to the park," he says, bowing down to me like I was a princess.

I laugh and roll my eyes.

He looks up at me from his bow and winks.

We go to the park, walking, and I race him to the swings.

He got there first but I got lucky because there was two swings.

We both swing up as high as we can and slowed down.

He grabbed my hand when we both stopped swinging and just sat there.

There was nobady at the park, which I was thankful for.

He kissed the back of my hand and pulled me up off the swing.

We walked to the field of grass and decided to just lay there like how we did when I met Jennifer.

Hopefully, no other ex of his will pop up and make me cry.

We spent a little while just talking and laughing, and a little bit of throwing grass at each other.

After a while, we had to go home because his family was starting the family night.

As soon as we got home, Vanessa and Taylor were there too. In fact, so was the whole Magcon Family.

I was greeted by everyone and we all went to the living room. Hayes' mom got food and got the games ready.

"Alright, for the new members of our family night, I will explain to you guys how our family night works," Hayes' mom starts off, "Okay. Well, every 3 weeks, our family, and whoever we want to invite, comes over and we lay out a bunch of games and food, and we all hang out in the living room, and no one can leave the living room until the night is over. Question?"

I saw Jack J. raise his hand. "What if we gotta take a wee-wee?"

"Oh we have cups," Hayes' dad points to a stack of cups making us all dead silent.

Hayes' parents laugh hysterically. "I was just messin' with you guys. Of course you can just go to the bathroom."

We all sigh in relief and laugh.

"Alright guys! Go have fun!" Hayes' mom says.

We all split up to each game, to the couch, or to the tv.

Hayes took me to a circle where Nash, Vanessa, Cameron, and his girlfriend were at.

"What's this game?" I whisper to Hayes.

"It's just a circle me, Nash, and Cameron always do at family nights and we just do whatever because all the games my mom brings are boring," Hayes whispers back.

I nod.

Cameron looks at me and nods, and I give him a confused look.

We got really close.

"Sam, this is Caitlyn, Hayes' girlfriend. Caitlyn, this is Samantha, my girlfriend," Cameron introduces us.

She was really pretty. She had light brown, long, staright hair, brown eyes, and was tall enough for the top of her head to reach Cameron's eyes. She was wearing a Magcon beanie and a cute outfit.

"Hi there! I'm Samantha but please, if it's easier, call me Sam. I could care less about what people call me," she says and hugs me.

I liked her. She was one of those super pretty, funny, not caring what other people think of her girls. Her and Cameron fit perfectly.

We let go of our hug and I said, "Hi! I'm Caitlyn as Cameron already said, but it's really nice to meet you Sam," I smile.

"Alright guys, let's get started with our game," Nash says, making quotaion signs with his fingers when he said "game".
