Chapter 17

Alexa's pov:

Today is the day!
Today im auditioning for the x factor, i can't wait. I got up from my bed and headed straight to the shower. After im done with it, i pulled on a t-shirt with 'paris' printed on it with a picture of the eiffel tower. I tucked the shirt into my white jeans that have rips from the kness only. I curled my hair from the bottom because it's already straight originally. I took a black cowboy hat and i put it on.

For my make up, i put eye liner, golden eye shadow, mascara, blush and red lip gloss.

The drive to the x factor arena was only 10 minutes. I got out of the car and i headed straight to the counter, to get my number.

"Alexa cowell!" I heard my name bieng called. Finally.

I was nervous as hell. What if i mess up? I was handed a the mic as i walked up to the stage.
I took a deep breath "you can do it" i whispered to my self.

I stepped on the stage to be greeted by a countless number of audience. I smiled at them, nervously. "Hi" i said into the mic.

Simon was looking at some paper, didn't bother looking up.
Demi was smiling at me. "Hi, sweetie" she said. Britney simply smiled at me just like louis.

"So tell us about yourself, darling " Demi said.

"Uh, well, my name is alexa cowell" that seemed to grab simon's attention. Yeah, i knew that me and him had the same the same last name but i never think much of it. "I am 17 and im from california" i continued.

"Nice. Are you singing?" Britney spoke up. "Yes" i answered. "Ok, you can start." Simon said.

I took a deep breath and i signaled for the guy in charge of music to start.

"When i was six years old, i broke my leg.." i started singing.
I didn't look at the judges, only at the audience.

"I was running from my brother and his friends and tasted tge sweet perfume of the mountain grass i rolled down.

I was younger then, take me back to when i found my haert and broke it here, made friends and lost them through the years"

I continued singing until i got to chorus.

"Im on my way, driving at 90 down those country lanes. Singing to 'Tiny dancer' and i miss the way you make me feel and its real. We watched the sunset over the castle on the hill!" I sang.

I finally made eye contact with the judges to fined them sitting there, wide eyed. I guess that means i didn't make them go deaf yet.

I finally reached the last part.
" one friend left to sell clothes, one works diwn by the coast, one had to kids but lives alone.
    Ones brother overdose
Ones already on his second wife
Ones just barley getting by,
But these people raised me and i can't wait to go home"

I finished with the chorus. "Thankyou" i said as i heard the audience clap and cheer. Simon had tears in his eye's.  What the?...

"Woah, you blew us away!" Louis said, smiling at me. I blushed, i didn't know that im THAT good. "Uh..thankyou" i said into the mic.

"Hello, alexa" simon said. He as smiling really big and i don't get it. "you are amazing, darling" he said. Oh my god, im so happy right now.

"I think someone has to start packing because we are going to vegas!" Britney said. Tears started streaming down my face. Happy tears.

I walked up to Britney and demi, giving them both a hug.
I shook hands with louis and was about to do the sane to simon but i was surprised when i was pulled into a tight hug.

"Congratulations, love" he whispered in my ear.

Harry's pov:

I feel like shit. It's been a week since i broke alexa's heart and she hasn't come to school since.
I was currently listening to lauren talk about some stupid shit that i wasn't intrested in so i was scrolling through instagram.

I stopped at a picture that alexa posted i while ago and i was in shock.

It was a picture of her singing.
Her caption was 'thankyou, x factor'

What? She went for x factor? After all she's been through, she still has the the courage to go to the x factor. Im happy for her.

Alexa has to amaze me everytime she does something like this, she is an incredibly strong girl. Even after all she's been through, she still manages to smile.

I quickly opend youtube and i typed 'alexa cowell audition x factor' i opend the video that the x factor posted and i watched it.

The whole time she's singing, i was in heaven. Her voice is something that im utterly inlove with. I remember the first time i heard her sing, it was the day we spoke to each other for the fist time. I was amazed. Her voice held so much sadness and sorrow, its like she was singing from her heart.

I regret what i did to her everytime i think of that beautiful face of hers, which is very often.

I wasn't surprised at all when i saw the judges reactions. They were stunned, especially simon.
Though, I've never seen him like this, he was literally crying.

It has crossed my mind that alexa and simon have the same last name, but that doesn't have to mean anything...

"Wow" i heard niall say behind me. I turned around. " when did you get here?" I asked, shocked.
"Hi?" He said sarcastically. I rolled my eyes. He's suck a dumbass sometimes. "So..who was that?" He asked me, walking to the kitchen to get food, obviously hungry. Its niall, he's always hungry.

"Alexa" i simply said, knowing what would come next. "Woah- you mean THE alexa?" He exaggerated. I rolled my eyes, yet again. "Yes, THE alexa." I responded. "She auditioned for the x factor? I mean, she's pretty good but isn't she supposed to be depressed or some shit?"

I glared at him. "That doesn't concern you" i said through gritted teeth.  "chill, mate. Im just kidding" he said.

I don't care what people say. I'll never look at alexa the way they look at her.
