Chapter 8

Alexa's pov:

I was walking home, thinking about my dad. I miss him so much, the past year has been hell without him.

Im trying to keep my self together, for my mum. She needs someone right now.

I reached my house and i opened the door, walking in.
"Mum!" My voice echoed through the house. I closed the door and walked in the living room, to find the tv on. I turned it off and turned around walking to the kitchen. "Mum-" i stopped mid-sentence to find my mum on the floor with a bottle of vodka in her hand, passed out. I sighed.

I went to carry her and lay her on the couch. I carefully put a blanket over her and i kissed her forehead. "I'm sorry, mum..im sorry that i never turned out to be the girl you wanted me to be. Im sorry that i am a Bardon, a mistake, a waste of space.." i whispered while shaking my head. "Goodnight, mum. I love you". I kissed her forehead, again and got up.

Jake's pov:

"She doesn't deserve to be here" amber said, rolling her eyes. "Amber, it's not nice to say that" i shook my head at the blonde next to me.

"Stop defending her because you know im right, she's only trying to be badass and cool"
I don't get why people say that to be honest. Alexa is the sweetest and she has a very big heart but people just take advantage of that. Im not sure about what has happened to alexa to make her change, but i know that its bad. People are quick to judge her, some people are just too blind to realize taht she is going through a hard time.

Some people say that she is using lauren and kathy for popularity, but that isn't true.
Alexa doesn't give a shit about her reputation around the school, well she doesn't show it.

I have always admired her beauty and her personality. She had these baby blue eyes that are so bright but hold so much pain and sadness. Some people say that her personality and attitude is disgusting, but that is just a mask. She bottles all her feelings inside. For a while, i was actually one of these people that thought she just wants attention and she uses kathy and lauren for popularity but then i realized that i can't judge people like that, different people have different problems.

I looked at amber, that girl actually thinks i like her. Don't get me wrong, im not an ass to lead her on. But she just won't leave me alone from that day at the gym.

She thought i was staring at her, while i was there for my friend. Amber has always been rude and selfish. I mean, sure she's pretty with her short, curly blonde hair and light blue eyes but her personality is shit.

"So what do you think, jake?" I was snapped out of my thoughts by ambers squeaky voice. "Huh? yeah, yeah good."
I replied, slightly confused about what she's talking about.
"You haven't been listening, have you?" I lightly laughed at her angry face.
"No, im sorry. What did you say?" I asked her.

"Im planning to highlight my hair black! Do you think i should do it?" She asked me with a hige smile.

"Uhh, yeah" i scratched the back of my neck. I do that alot, especially when its awkward and im not interested.

"I knew you would agree, i mean everything lookes good on me!" She squealed.

Ugh.
