Skolris struggled for her words. They danced on her tongue but couldn't quite leap yet. It was like balancing on a tightrope and being expected to flip off of it. But you didn't want to.

Antariel walked in through the door behind her. She immediately noticed what was going on. "Stop it, now! Skolris is just a normal werewolf, like me." She said.

One of the kids yelled furiously,"then how do you explain attacking coach. How do you explain her tail changing and her paws and color? Normal werewolves don't do that."

Her inner animal wanted to leap out and rip that kid's face off and throw it in a blender. But she couldn't allow it too. Her teeth gritted together and claws that had grown from her finger nail curled into a fist.

"I... am.... not what.... you think.... i.... am." Skolris managed to growl from her clenched fangs. How much I would like to just... kill that boy.. stop! Stop! Dumb wolf. Dumb animal. Dumb mind.

"Everyone sit down!" The coach suddenly walked into the room when a shrill bell rang. A kid arrived in through the door right after that bell and the coach pointed at him "late! Go get a late slip." The boy sighed and trudged out the door.

"What's all this commotion about?" He suddenly laid his eyes on Skolris and looked around, uncertain.
"If you go crazy and attack somebody today, I will use my ability to attack you back. It's fire and werewolf weakness is fire." The coach said quietly to her.

Creepy. Skolris and Antariel joined the others, alone. The coach assigned battle partners.

After battle practice, her and Antariel sat under a tree outside of school. "Ugh, it really agitates me that so many people are talking about me. Look up on the internet 'are shapshifters real?' And then, there is written 'proof' about me. It's so annoying." Skolris glared down at her feet.

Antariel shifted into a wolf; Skolris followed. "I'm sure everyone will be over the shapeshifter thing in a few months or so. Just ignore it for now " Antariel suggested. Skolris growled quietly," how do I ignore it if everyone I pass looks at me like I just fell from the sky. The news channels talk about me for half the time. Antariel, you and my mother are the only people who treat me normally. Even my own father moved away just before I was born. He never wanted me."

It was hard for her to talk about her feelings. It made her feel awkward. All Skolris felt like doing was floating above the clouds. She wanted to hide from all of her troubles. She didn't care if someone saw her shift. Her secret would be out anytime soon. Why am I even keeping it a secret. A normal person would shout it outloud and boast. But I'm not normal. I got this power for a reason.

"Helloooo! Skolris? Hey, I'm talking to you." Antariel poked her in the head. Skolris realized that she had suddenly stopped. Antariel was staring at her with a dark reddish  brown wolf face. "You ok?"

Skolris flicked one of her ears. "Yah, I'm fine. I should go home now. See you tomorrow, on Friiidaay!" Skolris attempted to lighten the mood before she shifted wings and lifted into the air.

Her feathers made a whistling noise in the thin air above the clouds. Her thick fur kept her safe from the cold early spring air.

She observed the ground as she flew. Once in a while, a cloud passed by and blocked her vision. I have to take a break from shifting or else ill go crazy again... and I might kill someone.

She was nearing her house when a cold chill ran down her spine. It felt as if something wasn't right. Her ears swiveled as she flew.

There was suddenly a large boom. It sounded like an explosion! And nearby.

For some odd reason, Skolris tilted her wings and banked towards the noise. She could hear screaming from below. She turned her wolf white to match the clouds above and dove under them to see clearly.

A massive hole was blown in the ground just outside of the small town. People were running into their houses and huddling their children close to them for safety. The police rode in on their beast bonds to investigate.

Then out of the blue, a line wolves with metal armour running along their back stood facing the police. Behind the wolf line stood people with an orangish glow to their skin. Their hands sprouted flames from just above the skin.

Then, they all attacked. There were about fifty werewolves and fire welders attacking at once. They lept upon the police and burned down buildings. I have to do something!

Skolris's eyes locked on one particular fire wielder. A small girl had her back against a brick wall. Her screams could just barely reach her ears. I have to help her!

Skolris added a burst of speed to her wolf and dove, headfirst towards the ground. As she flew, the wind tore at her fur and made a shrill whistle.

Hurry! Hurry Skolris! She tucked in her wings and was basically falling faster and faster as time went by. The man inched closer second by second. Skolris twisted in mid air and just before she hit the ground, a boom exploded behind her as she broke the sound barrier. The fire wielder looked her way and in that second, Skolris leaped and smashed into the guy's firey frame but, to her surprise, as she made the killing bite, the guy dissinigrated into thin air.

What? Enough about that image, save the girl! Skolris ran towards the little girl and grabbed her shirt in her jaws. She then lifted off the ground and flew quickly to the nearest safe house. But suddenly, a woman ran out from behind a hedge and her eyes widened as she saw Skolris the winged white wolf, return the girl "oh thank you! Thank you!" The woman cried before running into a house. More police had joined in the fight and so did Skolris.

She skimmed the battle field, slicing through the Images with the sharp edges of her wings that she just added. They disappeared and she was able to take out hordes if them in a single flight.

At one point, an imaged werewolf had leapt into the air and had grabbed her back paw in it's mouth as she flew. She had shaken if off easily but now without a deep gash in her paw. The fur around it was left stained scarlet.

All of the imaged werewolves and fire wielders were gone. Skolris angled upwards as she flew into the cloud cover. People were left staring after her. As she was flying, Skolris could only think of one thing. Who were the people who created those images and why do they want to destroy my town?
