By year fifteen, every girl and boy recieve a special beast bond and power. Kids would commonly get the powers of fire, nature, air, werewolf, or vampire. Rarely, the power of water or telekinesis. Skolris got none of these...
Can Skolris keep...
Skolris woke the next day from someone shaking her shoulder."hey! Wake up, Skolris! You're sleeping in." Antariel whispered. Skolris rolled over in her soft covers,"whaa.." she muttered before Antariel tore the blankets off the bed. "I was enjoying those, ya know!" Skolris said while rubbing the sleep out if her eyes.
"Ananucas said he would show us around the island. It isn't very big so it won't take long." Nymos said while walking out the entrance of the cave. Antariel followed. "Im coming, im coming." Skolris muttered before dragging herself off the mattress. She walked down the tunnel after them and as people passed, they stared at her.
I would stare at myself to. I look like a monster, all crazy haired and saggy eyed. It didn't help that she had giant holes all over her skin and some on her face. I probably look like a zombie.
"Hurry up! He's waiting!" Antariel called from around a corner. Skrjs sped up a bit,"im doing the best i can!" She shouted.
When Skolris finally arrived, Ananucas gave her a bowl of yogurt and fruit before walking quickly walking into the forest. All three of them ate while Ananucas showed them around. "What your power and bond?" Nymos asked him.
Ananucas smiled."well, i have the power of telekinesis." He stopped and looked sideways at Skolris as if he said to her,'don't attack anybody again because you know what i can do.' What he didn't know was that Skolris could have the power of telekinesis if she wanted to. "My bond is a winged white fluffy tiger." He said with another bright smile.
Antariel practically melted."a FLUFFY TIGER? I DIDN'T KNIW THAT YOU COULD EVEN GET THAT! CAN I SEE?!?" she begged. Ananucas laughed before he called out his bond. It was just as he had said, a fluffy winged white tiger. Skolris had to admit that it was very adorable.

Antariel immediately ran over and squeezed the tiger in a tight hug. The tiger had a face that looked helpless and desperate to escape. "Poor thing!" Skolris laughed. "It's in an Antariel death hug."
"Let's get moving." Ananucas called to them. Antariel let go of the tiger, which glared indignantly after her as she walked back to the group. It followed behind them as they continued on. Nymos and Antariel let out their bonds, who walked next to Ananucas's bond.
"This is the smallest island in the chain. We are the only inhabitants."Ananucas said. "Nobody really visits here either because if the 'savage and wild cavemen' who live here."he laughed. Nymos grinned,"nice "
They continued for a little ways before Ananucas stopped next to a large rock. He pointed to a large bush that grew next to it and Skolris could just make out a dark hole. "This is the second entrance to the cave systems." He said before moving on.
The leader pointed out waterfalls, creeks, rivers, and caves. The island was littered with beautiful landmarks.
On the way back, the sun was setting on the horizon. Day patrols returned to the caves and night patrols left them.
"Im starving. Do we get to eat anything?" Skolris asked out loud. Antariel and Nymos nodded their heads in agreement. Ananucas entered in through the cave entrance,"yes, you will get dinner." He said as they continued down the tunnels. "Wait in your cave and we will bring you food. On a table, you should see a small menu and a pack of cards. Choose something from the menu and slip it through a little slit in the door, ok?" He said while pointing to everything as they entered.
"Ok." They said before he stepped out of the cave. Antariel grabbed the menu and looked through it. She wrote something down on a card then passed the book and paper to Skolris. The menu didn't have much but it was alright.
1) chicken wings 2) steak 3) chicken lo mein 4) panang curry 5) ribs 6) go hunt for your own food
There was also some breakfast and lunch items. Antariel had ordered chicken wings, soda, and potatoes. Skolris ordered the same but instead of chicken wings, she got ribs. She passed the menu and cards to Nymos and he got chicken lo mein, tea, and egg soup.
"What is chicken lo mein anyway Nymos?" Antariel asked as she slid the card into the slot. "It's these, like, noodle stuff with chicken and a really good sauce."he explained. "Ooohhh, sounds good." She said.
They all plopped down on the couch and turned on the tv. Antariel flipped through the channels lazily and when the news came on, the headline said, "missing children FOUND three still missing." They stopped and listened to the lady talk.
"Seventeen of the twenty missing children that went missing this April have been found. Witnesses say that they appeared randomly in town center. They claimed that they were on a boat and they were rescued by the three kids that are still missing, Nymos Ztaxtelle, Antariel Ckrilstke, and Skolris Kromel. We are still searching for them and if anybody knows where they are, please report to or police." The screen switched to a handheld camera.
On the camera was Skolris's mom, Antariel's mom, and an unfamiliar man. Antariel immediately turned it off."i don't want to see my mom suffer when i know I can't return back home."she said. Skolris agreed. "Was that your dad, Nymos?" Skolris asked.
"Yah, he didn't seem all that moved by my absence though. He never really loved me as much as my mother, who got killed in that shooting in the Namoksei Region five years ago." He said sadly. "Oh." Skolris said awkwardly while Antariel gave him a death hug.
There was suddenly footsteps outside their door and someone walked in with a wooden cart. On that cart was their dinner. They thanks the person before plopping back down on the couch and enjoying their meal.
Sorry i didn't upload too quickly on this story! Just been a bit busy. :) next chapter will be much more exciting. Just wanted to take a break from the violence in this chapter and have a couple death hugs. That was pretty hard for me cuz i like to torture the main characters >:D
