About a month ago, you had trouble with breathing and would wake up in the middle of the night coughing. Sometimes with blood.
You went to the hospital and were diagnosed with lung cancer. You have been in the hospital ever since.

Your husband Tyler would visit you everyday. From the time visiting hours started, till they ended.

"Good morning, Mr. Joseph" The woman at the front desk greeted Tyler as he passed her.
"Good morning."

She already knew his name, the whole hospital knew. Just because he was here everyday, just to see you and make sure you're okay.

He walked in the elevator and pressed the number '4'. The elevator made a little ding sound and the doors opened. Tyler walked out of the elevator and rushed to your room 247.

He opened the door and walked towards you. "Good morning, Y/n." He pecked your cheek before sitting down at a chair. "Hey" you said weakly.

It hurt Tyler to see you like this. Weak and helpless.

"Tyler?" You said.

"Yea?" He responded immediately.

"Promise me, you'll move on after I die." You slowly said.

"Y/n, love, how many times to we have to discuss this. You're not going to die. I hate when you say these kind of things. Please don't say them anymore." He said while kissing your knuckles.

"Ok."

Josh and Debby came into the hospital room.

*time skip brought you by Tylers dancing*

After Josh and Debby left, you weren't talking to Tyler. He seemed to notice and questioned you about it. "Y/n, why aren't you talking to me? Did I do something wrong?" His voice cracking.

"No, I just- I don't want you to be closer to me than you already are. Or else you end up being as depressed when I die." You looked down.

Tyler sighed, before giving you a hug. You started crying into his chest, as he was tracing circles on your back.

"You have to stop saying these things, love."

"Mr. Joseph?" A nurse chimed in.

"Yea?" Tyler let go of the door and turned around to see the nurse.

"Visiting hours are over."

"Ok." The nurse nodded before leaving the room. Tyler soon left.

You weren't saying goodbye to each other, you both were afraid of it being the last word you'd hear from each other. You didn't even say that before you got diagnosed with cancer.

The next morning Tyler waited in your room for you to come back from chemotherapy. After a while, you came back into the room in a wheelchair. Tyler helped you to get in to the hospital bed. As soon as you laid down, you spoke up.

"Tyler they found s-something"

Tyler's eyes shot up and got filled with worry. "What did they f-find?"

"They found another tumor in my o-other l-lung." You cried. He threw his arms around you, pulling you close. He tried to comfort you, but he couldn't since he wasn't ok himself.

It was a few minutes before the visiting time would be over and you got really tired.

"Tyler I'm really tired you should go home." You weakly rubbed his arm.

"Ok." He kissed your forehead before he left the room.
