A Day in the Park

Chapter 12

“Will you get the door Liam?” You ask. You can hear Liam get up and go to answer the door. All you hear is hushed tones at the door. You start walking to the door asking “Liam who is it?” “It’s a guy named Kendal.” You get in front of Liam. “What are you doing here Kendal?” You question. He had bags under his eyes looking like he hasn’t slept in days. “I was dumb for leaving you Kenzie” He says. “Why are you telling me now Kendal; it’s been 4 months since you left.” Liam takes a hold of your waist trying to get you to come back in the door a little more; not liking the look of Kendal. Kendal was rough around the edges. It was the biggest reason why I was attracted to him. “I saw you on the front cover of a magazine with this guy when I was walking to work.” You were shocked that he just came right out with it. He was always like that which you loved because you hated it when people won’t just come out with what they wanted to say. “Were you mad that I was with someone or is it because you had regretted leaving in the first place Kendal?” You step up making it look like he hadn’t hurt you by what he just said. “Both” is all he said. “Well this has to suck because I am with someone that doesn’t care that Chloe isn’t his and that he will love both Chloe and I because he wants to not because he has to.” You and Liam looked at each other with such love that you forgot Kendal was even there. “I know that now Kenzie. I will do anything to get you back!” Kendal interrupted you and Liam.  “You can do anything you want but Kenzie is not going to let you back in. She has someone to love both her and Chloe and that someone didn’t walk out on her.” Liam says closing the door on Kendal.

“What if I said I wanted someone to walk out on me?” You say with a hint of sarcasm. “Maybe I will have to show you that I am worth having around” Liam says with a smirk. You start to go back into the kitchen but Liam pulls you back into his embrace and gives you a long and passionate kiss. Liam guides you back to the wall using the wall for support he starts to slide your skirt up your legs so he is able to wrap them around him. Neither one of us break away. We both want it so bad that it wasn’t until you felt Liam’s hands resting on the back of your thighs and him moving for the stairs that you realize just how much you wanted him. He walks up the stairs to your bedroom and places you on the bed gently. That’s when Liam finally pulls away. His eyes are a mixture of lust and love. “Do you want this?” He questions. “With everything that has happened I would want it to be you.” You say with such love that Liam picks you up are kisses you like there was no tomorrow. He sets you on the ground and slides his hand to your hips and starts to unzip your skirt. Once that was lost you pulled his shirt over his head; he is unbuttoning your shirt while you unbuttoning his pants. You were both in your underwear and you hear a knock at your bedroom door. The knock is followed by Chloe and four boys behind her. Liam steps in front of you so he is kind of shielding your body. “What is going on here guys?” Liam yells angrily. “Maybe we should be asking you that” Louis says. Chloe puts her hands over her eyes and run out of the room. “Maybe you guys should do the same as Chloe, NOW!” You tell them. They are walking out laughing.

“This is the second time in the same day” Liam says with a defeated voice. You walk over to him where he is sitting on the bed putting his clothes back on. “Liam, hun, everything is going to be fine.” You tell him. “How are you so calm? The boys just saw you in your underwear.” You laugh a little. “I learned a long time ago that things happen. Not in the best of ways but they do happen for a reason.” “What is the reason for this? You said you wanted to but I can’t get over thinking that this is a bad idea." “You know I am a Christian and maybe that is why. I know that if we did end up having sex, I will have had regretted it; not for being with you Liam, but for not following what I believe.” You stand up to go and put on your shirt, but Liam pulls you back. “You know that you being a Christian is what I love about you. You stand up for what you believe in.” he says and kisses you. You pull away to say “We better get down stairs before one of them comes back up here.” You smile at him and go to put your shirt back on. Liam follows you and helps you put the shirt back on so he can feel every part of you before you two head down stairs.

“Pancakes Kendal was here. The boys scared him away.” You start freaking out because you thought he had left. “Chloe babez what did Kendal say to you?” “Just that you belong to him, and will get us back some way or another.” “What is going on here? Who is Kendal?” Each of the boys says with confusion. You look at Liam with worry. “That won’t ever happen Kenzie.” Liam confirms “But you don’t know what he is like. He isn’t like most people. That is the one reason why I was with him.” “I will be here Kenzie don’t worry.” Liam says and Harry says “Will you tell us what is going on?” “So 4 months ago I was dating Kendal. He didn’t like the fact that I got custody of Chloe and walked out because she wasn’t his and wasn’t going to take care of her. He came back today after seeing Liam and I on our date yesterday and came here today saying that he was going to win me and Chloe back.” You say while leaning on Liam for support. “What kind of man would do that to someone let alone a child?” Harry says picking Chloe up. “The mean reason I was with Kendal was because I thought I could change him. I had gotten to him but he still was in that stupid gang.” “Gang?” Liam and the boys yell. “Yeah it wasn’t a good idea for me to do that but I thought I had to.” Each of the boys has a worried look on their face. “Why would you date someone from a gang Kenzie?” Liam asks. “I don’t know Liam. It was just me and I thought he could protect me when needed it.” “That’s what the police are for” Niall says. “That wasn’t the issue I was having. With working in a homeless shelter I get some shady people come and go and most of them have a lot of mental issues. I can protect myself to a point but it wasn’t enough one time.” You look away and sitting down. “What do you mean?” Zayn says. He has been quite till that moment. “When I was leaving work one night there was no one around and someone came up behind me and started to beat me. When I came to I was in the hospital with two ribs cracked and a concussion. I don’t remember anything that happened in-between those two times.” You say not looking at anyone. Chloe didn’t know any of this and I tried not to tell her. Everyone gasps and Liam bends down on one knee to lift your chin to him. “I would never let that happen to you again.” “Thanks, but that is exactly what Kendal had said.” You say trying not to make eye contact even though he is holding your chin.

Chloe looking at you and knowing that you don’t want to be talking about this anymore says “Pancakes I’m hungry!” You laugh a little. “Dinner was done before Kendal came over so all I have to do is heat it back up.” You tell her and the boys. “Oh! What’s for dinner?” Niall asks. “Tia peanut beef and peapods stir fry.” “Oh that sounds interesting” the boys say in their own version. “It’s better than it sounds guys” You reassure them. You head over to the shove and heat up the food. “Everyone will you help Chloe set the table and then go wash your hands.” You say. “Sure thing Kenzie.” Liam says. You can hear everyone setting the table and then them heading upstairs to wash their hands. You feel someone slip their hands around your waist.
