A Day in the Park

Chapter 19

Liam whispers “I know I love you” to you when he finally heard your soft snores. Once the words slipped from his mouth he slowly drifted off to sleep.

It was the next morning when Liam wakes up to laughter coming from the kitchen. He takes his arm out from under you making you stir in your sleep a little, and walking to the door. He walks down the stairs to see the guys at the table. “Hey guys, what is going on?” Liam asked sitting next to Niall. Without looking up Zayn says “Looking at twitter.” He hands him his phone and look at what they were looking at and it was funny. Liam scrolled to the next thing and it was something about Kenzie. What? How did they know about her? All the guys are looking at Liam and giving him a questionable look. “It’s about Kenzie.” He says looking back at the phone and scroll on to see that all of them are about Kenzie. “How do they know about her?” “Well it’s not like it’s been some secret Liam.” Louis says. “But they are talking about the rape?” Liam says with tears in his eyes. “What? What are they saying?” Niall grabs the phone and looks at what they are saying.

‘She is so ugly. Why would someone want to rape that?’

‘Have you seen her? No wander she was raped. She looks like a whore.’

They didn’t know that you had woken up and walked to the kitchen and was leaning on the wall listening to what Niall was reading. Niall couldn’t look at it anymore. “What the fuck are these people talking about? Management said that they would keep it quiet.” Niall stood up and looked in the hall way where you stood. “Kenzie” he says in a small voice. Everyone looks up at you and you turn around crying. You could hear them get up but you flinched and held up a hand to tell them not to come any closer. You finally turn around and they were still around the table but standing and looking at you. “How did this happen? How did it get out?” you asked. You slowly sink to your knees but Niall catches you before you fall completely. You were in a ball wrapped in Niall’s arms crying. “Kenzie, love we do not know but we will find out.” Harry says. You nod your head not able to make yourself to stop crying.

Liam walks over to you but all you do is nudge into Niall’s body even more. “I-I just want to go home.” You say in a tiny voice so only Niall and Liam could hear you. “We can take you home but you have the management meeting at 12.” Niall says. You just nod your head and try to stand up but you fall back down. Niall stands up with you in his arms but Liam picks you up out of his arms and carries you to their car while the boys go and tell Gwen and Conrad what is going on and to keep an eye on Chloe until after the meeting with management.

“I told the boys to either go back to the hotel or stay at Gwen’s and Conrad’s and play with Chloe.” Niall said while Liam drove us to my house. I was in the front seat while Niall was in the back looking worried as hell. “I am so sorry this happened Kenzie.” Liam said looking at you with a sorrowful expression on his face. “This was never supposed to happen.” He continued but you blocked him out. You couldn’t stand to look at him anymore.

Ever since we met I have thought about Kayla constantly, and cried about it, Chloe has ran away from home, we ran into Shiloh, Kendall showed up and raped me, and now the whole world knows about it. This man that I love has brought happiness and misery into my life and all I can do it look the other way. The reason why I look the other way is because of Chloe. Liam has brought four amazing guys into our lives and she couldn’t be happier. Mom, dad, and Kayla all said that I will be happy; and I know I will be with this man, but the way it is going it is going to kill me. 

You feel a tap on your shoulder and turn around to see Niall saying something. “Kenzie? Kenzie we are at your house.” You turn to look the other way and saw that we are parked in your drive way. You turn to look and see if Liam was in his seat; which he wasn’t so you looked back at Niall. “He went inside to start you a bath.” He looked down at his hands with heartache in his voice. You couldn’t quite look at him at the moment knowing why he was so heartbroken.
