The girl watches me play the piano. It was hard enough playing with a stranger watching, harder that the girl was watching too carefully. I ended the song halfway through on a nice note. I saw her face furrowing in the reflection of the piano. It was as if she wanted me to keep going on, but that would be stupid, hardly anyone likes to watch people play piano nowadays. They preferred it as a background noise instead.
I turned to face her, but I was captured by grey eyes staring into me. "Couldn't you have continued?" She asks, rather annoyed at me. "Its hard knowing someone's watching you," I said. "Low chances of no-failure on every next note." I looked around the place for anyone that would be a her parents, but no one was. I assumed her parents had left her to her own free will in the town. It is pretty safe around here, even for us ten-year olds.
"I'm going to go now," I slid off the piano bench and made my way outside.

The girl followed by my side. We struck up a conversation, though it was mostly us just going out in each other with comebacks. I'll admit, she was pretty good at this. But... "You're trash," I say. "You're the trashcan." I grin, "Hey, at least Im not thrown away..."
Some sadness seemed to gleam off her eyes and I frown. "Sorry, I was just joking... I didn't—" She hushed me by holding a finger to my lips. "Its fine, okay?" I nodded, not wanting the tension to hang between us.
"How about ice cream?" I asked,  changing the subject. "That sounds nice," She replies.

We sat on a giant tree root, eating our chocolate ice cream. Currently, we were at the edges of a small forest by the park. It was shady enough in the noon. We talked as if we've known each other for years, but suddenly her fave darkens at the mention of me meeting her again. "Look, er—" But before I could even open my mouth to tell my name she hushed me up, again. "Don't,"
"What?" I was confused.
"Don't tell me your name," she paused, "or make plans to meet with me."
"Don't get it wrong, I know we get along quite well," I did too. "But... You might not see me again. For... For a long time—maybe never." Her face softened and looked away from me.
"That's... A wise thought, but why?" She shook her head and I sighed. "At least a nickname," I locked in with her gaze and gave those puppy-eyes that almost seemed to have worked on anyone. The girl sighed and smiled, hopeful. "Why not?"
"You're Wise Girl now,"
"And you're Seaweed Brain."

After that, I've never seen her again.
