Kate knocked on Richard's front door and Katie opened it with a her dad next to her.

"Hallo." Kate gave Katie a big hug.

"Hallo." She mouthed at Richard as he nod his head to greet her back.

She kneel on her hounches infront of Katie with a smile. That smile meant so much to Katie.

"I've got some pretty good news sweetie." Kate said. "I heard a bird singing that Katie Bennet wish to have a friend. But I've got something more."

"More?" Katie asked looking into her mother's eyes half shy.

"A brother or a sister." Kate replied nodding with widened eyes.

"I'm gonna become a big sis!" Katie shout full excitement jumping up and down.

"Yeah get in the car. I'll be with you in a minute." Kate said to katie. Katie said goodbye to her dad and ran to the car.

"You're having a baby?" Richard asked shocked hoping for the best.

"Yeah well not yet. I'm looking for sperm donator on this moment so no, not yet but I am gonna get pregnant." Kate giggled.

"Well it seems to make you happy." Richard said not smiling at all, just wondering.

"Oh it is, trust me. Anyway Katie is waiting and I'm like seeing someone tonight but don't worry, Katie is also gonna be there. I don't want weird things to happen." Kate let a small laugh escape her mouth.

"It's alright I'll see you then." He smiled giving an odd look at his ex-wife.

Kate nod and turn around.

"Wait Kate." Richard stopped her. She turn around back at him. That was holding his hands a little out like he wanted to touch her but say something rather then touching.

"Just be careful. Some guys isn't the story the image shows. I don't want you to get hurt." Richard said as if he cared.

"Thanks I'll do so. Take care." Kate smiled half speechless.

Somehow it was hard for her to leave and hard for him to watch her leave. This conversation went so good for the first time in a very long time. They didn't even fight.

Kate walk to her car and open the door looking at Richard that was staring at her. She ignore it and climbed in the car and start it. She look back out the window and put on her savety belt. She look back infront of her then drove away.

That night Richard and Nicole was in the kitchen. Nicole sat at the table cleaning her nails while Richard washed dishes.
Richard looked from the plate to Nicole kind of worried.

"Kate is having a baby." Richard said drying his hands.

"So what about it?" She asked rudely continuing with what was so important to her.

"She needs a sperm donator and I'm wondering if I could help her find one. I've got alot of friends and..." Richard started looking at his hands then back at Nicole.

"No you're not gonna help your ex find a what ever she needs. I hate that you two have a daughter and that you see each other almost everyday." Nicole interrupted rolling her eyes.

"Yeah but when we do we fight but this afternoon it was so different." Richard said.

"I hate it when there's a positive difference between you two! You never even asked me if I want a baby!" Nicole shout.

"Because, Nicole, you don't!" Richard shout.

"Exactly! It's me or them! Choose!" She shout and stood up.

"Actually Nicole, you know who I'll choose so it's not worth asking when you know you can loose more then me. So if you ever ask me a question like that, make sure your bags are packed." Richard said and walk to his room leaving her speechless.

The next morning Kate and Katie was in a supermarket shopping for groceries. Katie sat in the trolley and Kate pushed her around putting the groceries in with her. She went around the corner and bumbed into another trolley. She looked up and saw Richard and Nicole.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry." Kate apologised looking at them in shock.

"Just don't apologise." Nicole said and role her eyes.

"Daddy!" Katie shout and gave hold her arms out to her dad. Richard walk to her and give her a hug.

"Hallo." He mouthed over her shoulder at a smiling Kate.

"So how was last night's date?" Richard asked kate.

"A total wreck." Kate laughed. "Turns out he's the type of guy that's afraid of getting his nails broken and hate being judged by other people."

Richard laugh looking at her with loving eyes. She knew that look. It was way too familiar to forget.

"Well I'm sorry that date didn't turn out great." Richard laughed taking a step closer to her.

"Neah it's alright. He doesn't make sence anyway." Kate smiled.

"I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for." Richard said nodding his head.

"Well it's gonna take some time but like they say, it's worth the while." Kate giggled looking at Katie then back at him.

"Richard, we need to go." Nicole said when Richard was taking little steps closer to Kate.

"Okay. I'll see you again?" Richard smiled giving Katie a hug.

"The four of us should meet again someday." Kate smiled.

"Oh we most certainly should." Richard replied.

"Okay." Kate smiled and reverse her trolley.
"Later alligator." Kate said and turn the trolley around hitting in the other direction dissapearing behind the other shelf and Richard just watched her with a stressfull expression.
