Richard sat unpatiently in the hallway waiting for the doctor to call him in for Kate's results.

"Richard. You can come in now." Doctor said. Richard nod and stood up walking in to his office. "Take a seat mister."

Richard took a seat and look at the doctor that looked very unhappy. It could be the results, well of course and that's exactly what Richard thought too.

"Well turns out she might have got something in her system that doesn't belong there. Could be something the doctors gave her when she wanted that baby in planting." The doctor started off.

"What did they gave her?" Asked Richard concerned about this whole situation.

"I'm not sure. It can be pills to make her...it's a complicated women thing but that pill can cost that she can either die giving birth or get the sickle cell. Which will let her get aroused but she won't feel anything when she sleeps with someone. If she gets a c-section there's a big chance that she will be fine but the chances are bigger that she won't. Not many women survived this disease" The doctor replied.

"I need to see her." Richard Said with tears in his eyes. He walked out of the office after a while crying with a big broken heart. He walk into the room where Kate was.

He sat next to her and held her hand crying.
"Richard?" She woke up looking at him. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah I'm fine." He lied drying up his tears and looking at her. He didn't want her to worry too much about herself. He cared about her way too much.

"Where's Katy?" Kate asked looking around waiting for her little girl to jump up in the bed telling her something new.

"Oh, Nicole took her to school and is picking her up again." Richard replied.

"Is she still talking to her imaginary friend?" Kate asked trying to laugh a bit but failed and cough.

"Oh. Yes she is." Richard laughed through his tears as he pulled her forward clapping her back. She place her hand softly on his cheek and laid back again. "I'm worried about you." Yes he was.

"I'm gonna be fine Richard. Our babies is keeping me alive." Kate said giving him a little proud smile.

Richard break in tears and gave her a hug.

"Whatever you do don't die please." He cried in her neck. She starts crying that instant and kissed his ear moving his face to look into her eyes.

"I'm gonna fight this okay. We're gonna get through this." Kate reassured. Richard rub his hand over her stomach and nod.

He lay her down again and stood up looking down at her then at the lady that just came in looking at them. No smile at all, just worries.

"Hey, I just want to know how my patient is doing." It was Christina Benjamin.

"Hi." Kate greeted her.

Christina gave Kate a hug and shook Richard's hand. "How are you doing?" She asked an unanswerable question.

"Christina, can I talk to you for a moment?" He asked and stood up.

She nod and walk out with him entering the boring white buzy hallway.

"Kate is pregnant." He started as he played with his hands.

"That's great. Congratulations. But I thought the over planting didn't take." Christina said in confusion.

"Well something sort of happened between me and Kate the night she told me she's not pregnant and she was really upset so we had to...take it out of our systems somehow." Richard replied.

Christina gasped and look away with shocked. She look back at Richard and asked. "Is there anything else I need to know?"

"The chances is big that Kate may die." He replied about to cry but he determined to keep it in for a while.

"What? How?" Christina asked shocked.

"Well the doctors gave her something in on the day of the baby planting. The thing they gave her in isn't working with her body it only caused her possible death." Richard replied.

"Oh gosh. That's horrible. I need to talk to her to get her mind of everything." Christina said and walk in to the room.

Richard look down then turn around looking into the room and walked in trying to stay positive even though it's so bloody hard.
