Over the next few weeks, Kris was busy with shopping and overseeing the renovations for the baby's room. Then one day, just one week before you're due to deliver, while both of you were discussing about the baby's name, you felt a sharp pain in your stomach. Kris, who was beside you, immediately swept you up in his arms and drove you straight to the hospital. Upon reaching the hospital, you were rushed into the delivery room, with Kris holding your hand.
Both Kris's and your parents waited outside anxiously. Kris held your hand and encouraged you throughout the whole delivery. After 45 minutes, it was finally over. Kris cut the umbilical cord and held the baby in his arms, showing you. You started to cry tears of joy and Kris handed the baby over to the nurse. He kissed you on the cheek and said, "You're wonderful, honey. Thank you for delivering our boy safely. I love you." You smiled at Kris just before you drifted off to sleep, exhausted.
