Kane's POV:

Its Friday morning and I back out of my driveway on the way to work. I work at the Arkadia general hospital, taking care of dead bodies and transporting them. On the way i decided to stop at starbucks and pick up a coffee. When i picked it up, there was also a capuchinno with whipped crewm. I didnt remember ordering it, but picked it up a yway and got in the car.

Fridays are easy days in my department, so i took a stroll around the hospital after filing some paperwork. I was walking past the icu when i saw abby. I was still holding the capuchinno snd held it out to her. "Need a pick me up?" I asked.

"Caffeine dehydrates the body's tissues and stunts growth. But sure ill take it. " abby replied.

Her knowledge attracts me. But there's something holding me back.

"So are you excited for the weekend?" I asked.

"Not at all. Saturday morning brings in the sports injuries, saturday night has the drunks, and sunday morning brings all of the above. And i still havent started planning clarkes engagement party. " abby looked stressed.

"Sounds fun. " i said. "Anything going on tonight?" I queried.

"No, i get off at five. Thank god."

I was originally going to ask her out, when my close friend, and head of operations at the hospital, walked by.

"Good morning," Thelonius Jaha announced.

"Good morning," i answered back.

"Abby, i would like to speak yo you in private." Jaha looked at me, and i shuffled of to the lobby.

I walked back to my boring office, and read over some reports. I wondered what Jaha had said to Abby.
