Octavia's POV

My first impressions on Lincoln were that he was a gentleman, unlike any of the other guys at my school. He also had a bunch of funny stories to tell.

We ordered a sausage and peperoni pizza, and I loved it. Lincoln also encouraged me to try Dr. Pepper, which I never had the guts to try.

Everything was going good until around 2:00, when the waitor's shift ended. Before, we had a polite, older man who didn't pay much attention to us.

Then, we ended up with the rudest girl ever. Her name was Tanya, and we remembered that name so we could write a bad review on Yelp. She looked to be in her early 40s, but her face was plastered with makeup and a fresh coat of lipstick every five minutes.

We asked for the bill, because we were about to leave anyways. But, she wanted to stick around and chat.

"How old are you, young lady?" she asked with a harsh tone.

"Seventeen," I answered.

"Do you have any idea what you're doing?" she snapped.

"This isn't a bar," Lincoln stepped up. "Can we please get the bill?"

"And how old are you," Tanya asked.

"That doesn't matter, I just want the bill," Lincoln replied. He was being assertive.

Tanya would not leave. "What, did your online profile lie about your age?"

"No, we go to the same highschool." I raised my voice. Tanya glared and stomped off. I think the drama was a bit unnessecary. I hope she didn't think Lincoln was over 18, because we're perfectly legal.

"I'm sorry about that," Lincoln apologized. "Whenever I go out with someone, people always think that I'm... older."

"What? You don't look a day over 17. The girls are probably just jealous." I assured him.

Lincoln raised an eyebrow when I said 'jealous.' "Really?" he asked.

"Yes." I answered. A different employee came back and handed us the bill. The whole meal was free. The owner wrote that he was very sorry and he would take care of it.

We walked out side and looked for something to do. I saw a new surf shop called 'Ripper's' and we checked it out.

Lincoln is actually very knowledgeable when it comes to surfing. After we browsed the store, Lincoln offered to teach me next Saturday. I'm all about learning something new.

He said he'll pick me up and we'll drive to the beach. The down side is, Bellamy will be home, and I don't know how he'll react when he meets Lincoln.

At around four, Lincoln dropped me off at my house. He didn't touch me at all, and said he wanted to keep things simple. I respected that.
