Octavia's POV

Lincoln walked out of the house in a pair of Bellamy's swim trunk and I thought he looked HOT.

"Hey Linc, come on in," I said.

He jumped into the water and sat next to me. "Octavia, your house is very nice."

I know that Lincoln's house is over by Tondc, so this side of town seems way nicer.

"Thank you." I replied. "With summer coming up, you can practically come every day" He could if he wanted to, I wouldn't mind.

"I don't know what your brother will say about that." Lincoln looked stressed.

"Don't worry about him." I put my arm over his broad shoulders. "Bellamy's moving out in a few months."

Lincoln looked confused. "Didn't he just come back?"

"He's getting married in July and then moving in with his wife. He's going to be living 10 miles away."

I noticed that our heads were coming closer by the minute. I wanted to kiss him, but something was holding us back. I felt like Bellamy was watching us. Maybe I would scare him away. What if he didn't kiss me back? There were too many thoughts going through my head. Until it all let go.

His lips were like electricity, surging through my body and radiating throughout me. I felt secure, like everything was going right.

We were in sync, until we pulled away when the time was right. "That was amazing," Lincoln admitted.

"Yes, it was," I replied. We sat back in the hot tub for a few minutes until I got a call from my dad.

"Who's that?"  Lincoln asked.

"Great, it's my dad. Let me take this and I'll be right back." I got out and answered the phone.

"Is this Octavia Blake, David Blake's daughter?" a woman asked me. Why was she calling me on my dad's phone?

"Yes, it's me. What's going on?"

"Your father collapsed while shopping at VONS. We think he has a heart problem."

"Is... he okay?" I asked.

"We don't know. I am very sorry."

I froze, feeling my legs turn to jello and I wasn't sure if this was a dream. It must have bee, if Lincoln had kissed me and now my dad was about to die. Those two things were too dramatic for one day.

"Where is he?" I asked the woman.

"Arkadia General Hospital."

"I'll be right there."

I turned around to face Lincoln. He knew something had happened.

"My dad. Something happened to him. And they don't know if..." Tears welled in my eyes.

"Hey, hey, it's going to be okay. Would you like me to come?" Lincoln looked deep into my eyes, like he understood all of my trouble.

"Okay. I'll go get Bellamy." We dried off and got in the car. Bellamy hopped into the driver's seat Lincoln and I piled in the pack, until Bellamy said no. I would have to ride shotgun.

Even when Lincoln was trying to be nice, Bellamy wouldn't accept it. Maybe one day things would be different.
