Lincoln's POV

Octavia and I were on our way to the party. I don't know the people who were going to be there, so I asked Octavia to tell me about them.

"Raven is really smart," Octavia started, "And she knows how to have a good time."

"Then there's Clarke, Bellamy's fiancee." Octavia said.

"Is she anything like your brother?" I asked.

"No, she's really smart, but she keeps to herself." Octavia laughed. "If she was anything like him, we'd be in double trouble."

"So, who do I need to worry about?" I asked.

"Ugh, there's this one girl named Monroe who I have hated since elementary school." Octavia grimaced. "She and I got in a fight in 3rd grade, and we have never gotten along."

"I'm assuming you won," I said.

"Hell yeah, well other than that, everyone's pretty friendly. Unless there's someone new added into the mix."

I turned into a small neighborhood. I found the house, 322 Farm Lane, and parked.

We walked inside the house and heard laughing. Okay, maybe Octavia was right, they sound like nice people.

"Hey Octavia," everyone said. I then heard a blond girl sitting with Bellamy and another girl scream, "Woohoo, Octavia, you never told us about him!"

I looked to the side. I don't know if either I was giving them another look, or if I wasnted to see Octavia blush. "Guys, this is Lincoln," she smiled.

"Hey, you guys," I nervously voiced.

Bellamy nodded, and the rest of the group started talking to me.

'Where are you from?' 'Do you go to school with Octavia?' 'How long have you been together?'

Jasper, who I was talking to, got up to use the restroom when his girlfriend, Maya started tugging at my sleeve. "Tell me all your secrets, she hissed."

I was shocked at the way she said that. Was she trying to arrange something? I turned around to find Octavia, when I remembered that she was in the kitchen, talking to Clarke. Everyone else was engaged in their own conversations.

"I don't have any," I answered, scooting back.

"Oh come on, Linc, I know a handsome guy like you doesn't just keep his eye on one girl," she laughed. "Well?"

"Actually, you're wrong." I smiled. "Just Octavia."

Maya wasn't getting enough. She leaned in, closer to me. "Just say it."

I hate it when girls do this. If I was interested, I would say it. And I wasn't.

Then, Maya put her hand on my face. No.

"Just get off of me," I scrambled my way off of her, and stood up. Then the wrong word came out of my mouth. "Weirdo!"

Jasper turned the corner and was standing face to face with me. "What did you just say?"

"She was touching me!" I raised my voice. Everyone turned.

"Are you sure you weren't touching her?" Jasper took a step forward. He tilted his head to the side.

Now Octavia and Clarke were in the living room. "He wouldn't do that," Octavia spoke up.

"She touched my face," I added, "And called me handsome." Jasper's eyes exploded in anger.

Octavia later told me he was arrested for assualt. I see how. He squared up, and got ready to fight. We were in the middle of a living room with all of Octavia's friends. Is this how Jasper wanted me to beat him?

I put my hands up. "I don't want to fight you. Just tell your girlfriend to mind her own business and keep her hands off."

"Yeah, I think I will." Jasper turned around and grabbed his beer. He ushered Maya out the door. I was glad they left.

The rest of the party went well. Raven opened her presents, Octavia and I drank apple cider(we're only 17), and we all went home.
