Abby's POV
After my dinner with Marcus, he drove me back home. We laughed and told stories about working at the hospital. It was great.
When we got to my house, he opened the door and helped me out. I felt like he was my night in shining armor.
Our eyes locked, and I couldn't escape it. Marcus leaned down and I stood on my toes for a kiss. It was nice, and we were like that for a few seconds, until I lost my balance.
"I should... go," I voiced.
"Okay, Abby. Call me tomorrow?" Marcus asked me.
"Of course," I answered. We turned around and went our separate paths. "By the way, thank you, for tonight."
"Of course," Marcus answered. He smiled and got into his Jeep.
I opened my front door and a light was on upstairs. I cautiously grabbed my revolver in the drawer under my couch and proceeded upstairs. Who could it be?
As soon as I went to my room, I saw Clarke rummaging through some drawers. I stuffed the gun away as to not scare her.
"Clarke, why didn't you call me? I almost had a heart attack!"
"That's not funny, Mom. Bell's dad had a heart attack. I'm looking for those get well balloons you stole from the hospital."
I was surprised that David had a heart attack. He was a healthy older man, who worked out daily.
"Is he alright?" I asked.
"I don't know," Clarke answered. "I'll just find the balloons and head over to Arkadia General."
"Well, I hope Bellamy and Octavia are coping with this. Do you want me to go over there? Or...?"
Clarke glared at me. "No thanks, you'll just make it awkward. Anyway, I found them. Bye."
Clarke stomped out and I heard her car start. I got ready for bed and curled up with a book on Pediatric Optometry before falling asleep.
