Chapter 26

I finally managed to find an outfit that didn't seem like I was trying, but that also didn't seem like I wasn't. My life is complicated when it comes to fashion because I love fashion and wearing the right outfit is crucial to me. I decided to just wear my best pair of jeans and a black lace shirt. It was cold out tonight so I paired it with a leather jacket. I curled my hair so that it looked like I actually tried to style it, but somehow my hair was not cooperating with me tonight. Maybe it was because my mind was so preoccupied thinking about Harry and everything that Bethany told me.

I sighed and bent down to tie my shoes when I heard the doorbell ring. My dad and Martha were still not home and I wondered where they were. They probably went out to dinner with their friends. That most likely meant they won't be home for awhile. My dad has a lot of friends here in England and he doesn't mind driving an hour or so to visit them.

I walked down the stairs to go open the door and the house looked so creepy when there was no one home. I never actually paid attention to how big this house is and maybe it was because I usually spend my time locked up in my room.

“Hey.” I said to Keaton.

He was looking really cute tonight. He was wearing black skinny jeans and a light blue button up shirt that made the blue in his eyes stand out even more than usual.

“Hey sorry I am late,” he said giving me a pearly white smile.

He is late?

“Uh no problem. Let me just get my keys and we can head out,” I said walking over to the kitchen where I left my keys.

“Wow your house is big,” Keaton said as he followed behind me.

“I think it just looks like that because it's empty,” I said as I grabbed my keys, “alright we can go now.”

He nodded and we headed out the door. We walked to his car and he opened up the passenger door. He helped me in and I looked up at him feeling strange that he was being such a gentlemen.

When he got into the car and turned on the engine he noticed my awkward stare.

“What?” He asked throwing his hands up in confusion.

I laughed and shook my head, “I've never seen a guy open up a car door for a girl like you just did.”

He laughed putting the car in reverse and heading out my drive way.

“You've just been going out with the wrong guys,” he said and I couldn't help but feel like he was talking about Harry.

I frowned and turned my head to avoid him noticing my change in mood. He was right. I always did chose the wrong guys to get involved with. They either were cheating on their girlfriends with me or were douche bags like Harry.

Throughout the entire movie I couldn't really concentrate. I just kept thinking about everything that Bethy had talked to me about and as much as I tried to stop thinking about it I couldn't. Harry was trying to change. He was changing because he was with me? No. That is just not possible. I just don't believe that I am capable of changing who Harry is. I was no one but some girl he fucked when he was horny. I mean he said it himself.

To top it off there was the mysterious way she acted when I asked about that flash drive. What the hell was in that flash drive? I know Harry was involved with a drug dealer, but I doubt that Bethy had anything to do with that too. Maybe I was overreaction and over thinking all of this. Maybe they were just downloading some songs or something, but then why would Bethy react the way she did. I should stop thinking about all this and just try and concentrate on the movie.
