"but how is that going to let us be together again?" tyler asked, his face puffy but dry from tears. "oh shoot." marina bit her nail. "i didn't think about that."

"you guys are doing that performance thing together though. that's gives you a reason to be together." lizzie said. tyler nodded. "that's right." he said, he stood up. "that's right!" he walked to the door.

"where are you going?" melanie asked. "to work on my project." he closed the door behind him as he ran to the day room. he walked down into lins office. she wa startled by his sudden appearance as he waltzed right in and sat down.

"tyler!" she raised her eyebrows. her face became a small frown when she noticed the boys obvious post sobbing face. "are you okay?" she looked worried. "i wanna work on my project,with josh." he said. lin sighed.

"listen, i personally think that this rule for you too is dumb. lucy is a huge rule person, i on the other hand don't see anything wrong." tyler raised an eyebrow. "so what are you trying to say?"

"i don't think you guys should be separated, but for the sake of my job-" she was cut off by tyler groaning. "this is not fair. this sucks, this really sucks." he said, covering eyes as he pulled the tears back into his system. he wasn't going to cry anymore.

"tyler don't beat yourself up over this." she said softly. "it's not worth it, he doesn't seem to care at all." tyler perked up immediately. "what do you mean?" he squinted his eyes. "josh didn't care at all, he was unaffected. your being emotional for no reason."

"h-he doesn't care?" tyler asked. lin nodded. tyler laughed in disbelief. "wow, okay, well i'm sorry for bothering you." tyler stood up and walked out, still stunned. he couldn't believe it.

as he left the building and walked through the warm air, he spotted the one and only josh dun, sitting with his group of friends. tyler looked at him until josh noticed him back. it didn't take long for josh to give him a cold look and then away.

no way. tyler thought to himself as he passed by them. he really doesn't care.

he ran back to the cabin, gasping for air as he flew through the door, surprising the girls. "melanie!" he yelled. she stared at him with wide eyes. "i need your guitar." he demanded. "o-okay.." she leaned over to grab it.

tyler brought it to the back of the corner and sat down criss cross with the guitar in his lap. his face looked irritated. the girls watched his weird behavior in music.

"tyler are you oka-" marina was interrupted by tyler shushing her a bunch of times as he closed his eyes and held onto the guitar.

"DONT FORGET AB B B B BOUT ME! DONT FORGET AB B B B BOUT ME! EVEN WHEN I DOUBT YOU! IM NO GOOD I WITHOUT YOU! NO NO NO NO!"

tyler strummed the guitar vigorously as he began to scream. the girls were all trying their best not to laugh as they wondered what the hell this boy was doing.

tyler opened his eyes. "that's good." he said, standing up. "that's really good."

it was the next day, lunch just ended. tyler and josh looked eachother with glares. the girls noticed and were really confused. the duo performance was tonight. they were still going together, things were gonna be awkward.

"are you sure you want to do that?" lizzie asked tyler. tyler grinned at her. "positive!" he said. "you're crazy." she smirked back at him.

the teens all split up for their performances. tyler was sitting alone in the cabin, trying to make some outfit. he was wearing all black and he didn't like it, he needed some sort of color. he looked around the girls belongings when he found something perfect.

he picked up a bright red beanie, the same shade of red at josh's hair. he put it on and giggled to himself as he looked over his lyrics one last time before heading to the stage.

seeing other people walking, he caught melanie's hair. he caught up with her as she was with her partner. he was wearing a leather jacket and had his hair greased back.

"tyler!" melanie smiled. "you look cool!" she said. tyler smiled back. "thanks." melanie looked over at alex. "alex this is tyler, tyler alex.".

"hi." tyler said shyly. "hey." he said, he definitely had a strong accent. the approached the stage, the groups were already in order and posted up. tyler was the last in his group to go. so he enjoyed the show in the very back.

melanie's performance was adorable, she said about cake and the guitar was awesome. lizzie sang about summer but the mellow lyrics mixed with brendons guitar playing sounded awesome. marina sand about being a bubble gum bitch, which tyler was digging.

they all did fantastic jobs, it made tyler feel genuinely happy. remembering where he was, at a place where he got to do what he loved. the happiness soon drained when he realized he was next.

he made his way back stage and saw josh, who was also in all black. he held onto drumsticks as he fixed his had, when he saw tyler. the two quickly gave eachother the cold shoulder. tyler took a deep breathe in before being called on stage.
