Kurapika let out a gasp of surprise.

"I waited for the perfect chance and stole his tag, but someone else was tailing me and he got me with a poisoned dart. Soon after, Hisoka took back his tag from the person who got me and he left it with me. He said that I owed him now. I told him I didn't need his help, and he sent me flying."

His voice started to tremble and tears pooled in his eyes. "I was so mad that I couldn't do anything against him."

He was silent for a few moments as tears started to roll down his cheeks. I placed a hand on his shoulder as I waited for him to finish. He then wiped his tears away with the arm and laughed.

"After that, I was pretty miserable and lonely. I felt so helpless, I wanted company; I wanted to help someone, I guess. That's why I was looking for you guys."

"Gon," Kurapika said. "Leorio and I have only been able to make it this far because of you. We're truly grateful."

Gon smiled in response. "I'd also like to thank you too."

I faked a sniffle. "This is so touching! Who knew that Gon is loved by others; not just me! Come here, you!" I pulled him into a hug.

The two laughed at me as I kept on hugging the life out of my friend.

"Well, then. You should get some rest. The previous phase must've taken a toll on you," I said to him as I let go.

"You too, Akane. When was the last time you've had some sleep?" Kurapika said to me.

"What are you talking about? I'm fine," I waved him off.

"You have dark bags under your eyes, and you have been frequently spacing out," Kurapika pointed out.

Gon stared into my soul with his piercing eyes. I looked away but I heard him say my name slowly. I groaned in frustration.

"Ugh, fine! The last time I slept was when we were our way to the Third Phase," I said.

"What?!" Kurapika screamed out in surprise.

"But, it's no big deal, really! I'm doing great!" I insisted.

"That was more than a week ago! You have to get some sleep!" Kurapika said as he shook my shoulders.

"You're lying! You didn't even fall asleep that time!"' Gon pointed out.

"Fine! Last time I slept was just before the Second Phase started," I confessed.

"Akane!"

"It's not my fault! I can't sleep even if I want to!" I blurted out. "Someone has to knock me out just to get me to sleep."

Kurapika frowned. "You're an insomniac?"

I cursed. "You weren't supposed to know that," I muttered. "But it's all cool! I can still stand and walk on my own, right?"

"We can ask for some sleeping pills. Leorio might have some," he said as he grabbed my wrist and started dragging me along with him.

"Hey! I don't want to drink pills!" I disputed.

"Why not?"

"She doesn't know how to drink them," Gon explained.

"What is up with you telling everybody embarrassing stuff about me?!" I said to him as I tried to get out of Kurapika's iron grip.
