In my room, I was hopelessly confused. What do I pack if I don't know where we are going? Is it an over night trip? I sighed and plopped onto my bed. I stared up at my white ceiling. I heard my door creak open and then shut. I sat up quickly. Taylor stood at the foot of my bed, a smirk on her face. Autumn stood behind her, fiddling with stuff on my desk. "We have come to assist you, child." Taylor said, going over to my closet and pulling out my purple suitcase. Autumn started randomly sifting through my drawers. "Uhmmm......can you tell me where we're going?" I asked, hopeful. "Nope." Autumn said, popping the p. I sighed. "Well, if you're packing my suitcase, I assume it's for more than one day?" I said. Taylor nodded. "Brooke is downstairs sorting it out with your grandma. It's going to be great!" I siged and turned to Autumn. "Can you please at least tell me who's going?" I asked, using my puppy dog face. Autumn glanced at Taylor, obviously silently asking for permission. Taylor nodded and went back to packing. "It will be me, you, Taylor, Brooke, Brian, Caleb, and Davy." She said, counting them off on her fingers. Autmun was skinny with short died red hair and blue eyes. Although many guys wanted to date her, she always turned them down.
Waiting for the right one, she says when I ask her about it. I raised my eyebrows at all the names Brooke didn't mention. "Brooke's still dating Caleb?" I asked, shocked. I personally thought she would drop him like a hot coal fast. Hmm. Davy was Taylor's boyfriend. She nodded. "Okay, I think we're ready to go!" Taylor chimed, zipping my suitcase. We headed downstairs, to were Brooke was smiling at my grandma, who was laughing. My grandma absoulutely adored Brooke. When Brooke saw us she stood up, swinging her dark hair behind her shoulder. "Ready to go?" She chirped. I nodded. "Bye Grandma!" I yelled walking towards the door. "Bye honey! Be careful and don't do anything stupid!" She yelled. I smiled and yelled of course not, before walking out the door behind my friends."Why didn't you tell me Davy and Caleb were going?" I asked Brooke on our way down to Taylor's sky blue convertable. Brian waved at me from the back seat. "It just slipped my mind, I guess. Okay, Katie, Brian, and Autumn in the back. Taylor and me in the front." Brooke ordered, pointing out our places. I rolled my eyes and put my luggage in the trunk. I climbed in between Brian and Autumn in the back.
Taylor had the top rolled down, since it was a beautiful day. Brian smiled at me and quickly squeezed my hand in greeting. I smiled at him, feeling a light blush color my cheeks. "Davy and Caleb are going to meet us at the location in Caleb's car." Brooke informed us while putting lip gloss on. Taylor pulled out of my driveway and we began our journey. It felt good being with my friends again. Normal. Brooke reached over and turned the radio on to WKEE. 'Starships' by Nicki Minaj was playing, and me, Brooke, Autumn, and Taylor rapped along with it. I was the only one who knew all the words and when I finished they all clapped. I laughed. Feeling the wind through my hair helped me clear my mind and I was really enjoying myself. Everyone in the backseat started to play the turn game, where we lean against the person beside us on a turn. It was fun and I couldn't stop laughing. I wasn't really aware of where we were until Taylor stopped the car. I looked around. We were in the parking lot of Comfort Suites. "A hotel?!" I scream-asked. That was the last thing I would have suspected. "Boys in one room and girls in another, of course." Brooke said, stepping out of the car and streching her back. I shook my head and followed Brian out of the car.
Autumn handed me my suitcase from the trunk. We all went inside and into the lobby. It was grand, with two spiraling staircases, a huge chandelier, decorative plants, lush red carpets, and nine floors. I gaped at the finery as Taylor went over and checked us in. "Hey babe." Caleb said to Brooke, giving her a kiss. I hadn't seen him come in, he must have already been waiting. "Hey." Brooke said, staring at him lustfully. Taylor came back with two room keys and gave one to Davy. "Okay, us girls are going to head up to our room and change, then we will meet you at the pool?" Taylor asked the guys. They nodded and Taylor gave Davy a quick kiss before her, me, Brooke, and Autumn went over to the elevators. In the elevators, I turned to Brooke. "What floor are we on?" "Nine." She replied. "How long are we staying here?" "Two nights." The doors opened and we stepped out, following Taylor down the hallways. She stopped at a room with a plate on the door that said, 'Room 517'. She stuck the key card in, then pulled it out. A green light flashed, followed by a click, and Taylor opened the door. The room we stepped into had a couch, flat screen tv, recliner, and a coffee table. In the corner was a small kitchen consisting of a counter top, sink, microwave, and coffee maker.
The next room had two king sized beds with heavy comforters. Their was also a flat screen tv in that room. The bathroom was between the two rooms. "Nice place." Autumn commented, flopping down on one of the beds. "Yah." Taylor said, sitting on the other bed. We started to unpack our stuff. I opened my suitcase and began to rifle through it. My hands came in contact with short shorts, tank tops, lingerie, and skimpy bathing suits. "Uhhhh...Taylor? Did you happen to pack anything.....that will cover my body?" I asked raising my eyebrows at her. Brooke and Autumn started snickering. "Yah, well......I thought Brian would appreciate it." Taylor said, winking at me. I sighed and rolled my eyes. I picked out a pink camoflouge bikini and changed quickly, following the others girls to the guys room. This was going to be one hell of a trip.
